NANNA'S

Nanna's are bright and yellow, and slightly bent
Chopsy's lodger uses these, to pay for his rent
You hold the fruit lovingly, then peel back the skin
Then open ya gob, and ram it right in.
Some people nibble it, and some people bite
Some people suck it, I'm not sure if that's right!
A Monkeys favourite, they really love these
Chomping away, as they swing through the trees
A tastier fruit, you're unlikely to get
But eat to many, and you'll end up with the vet.

BRICKIES (Bricks/Brickies/Layers/Builders)

Brickies, dont they work hard
building with bricks, a wall
that they get from a yard
and cement them together so they wont fall

they never wear a belt
and show there ugly butt
some women it makes there heart melt
but others just go tut tut tut

They slurp there tea very loud
and whistle at totty
there bellies stick out proud
just like there hairy botty

To My Fellow Junkies

I remember the days sat back at my home
When I sat at my computer all on my own
If the day was long and the day was mine
I knew I'd give the junkies some of my time

Not to mention your names you know who you are
The most entertaining friends on the net by far
With magical stories and comfort as well
For those dear friends that were going through hell

Some junkies come and some of them go
But some do return -I hope you all know
Like a bird in the night swift and so thin
I might just creep up and dare to log in

Great times I had with the poems and cruise
With the latest in jokes and the latest in new.
I'll never forget when stella posted his jokes
Or when we smoked and went fishing like typical bloke.

We did all we could to stop that thread going dry
Also online in the garage all night
Bubbles of fun floating round us all light

Educating Britain''s kids is tough
Each passing day they get more rough
We're powerless to stop them you see
Because we've gone far too PC!

It's time the masses took a stand
An joined together hand in hand
To tell them that we can take no more
And show the Liberals the door

A better future will be had by all
The yob rule in cities it will fall
Decency and respect will return to the fore
And the ASBO won't be needed any more

To smack a child to make them understand
That bad behaviour has been banned
Will hurt them less in future time
Than the consequences of a life of crime!

So come on folks lets stand and be counted
A retaliatory strike it can be mounted
Let the politicians see thats what we say
The decent folks will have their day!

Today the weather is sunny and bright,
Much different to the strong,windy gusts from last night.
I showered and ate, and got online,
To catch up with some friends, and give them my time.
A free day today, i've not much to do,
So if you would like, I'll have a chat with you.
We can talk about the football, or just have a laugh,
Or take a long walk down the old garden path.
To have a good think, about the good times we had,
I'm now back on funky - and boy am I glad!
So now I can write poems, and on general chat,
And the captain can put on his old captains hat.
I dont have as much free time that I used to own,
When I could type away on the pc alone.
Through the week I have lectures, on a night i'm in bed,
Up in the morning so I must rest my head.
But anyways, hello! Its good to be back,
Let me catch up with the gossip I lack.

This thread is still alive, have you seen?
The titles keep coming, from You Know Who
And I keep posting, to follow them through
No matter what subject, whatever the theme
Me and My Paula, have become quite a team
It's your fault you know, you gave me the time
To realise how easy it is, to write lines in rhyme
Now it comes easy, whatever the title
To create a verse, even a poetic recital
I just wish, it was not down to me and thee
To stop this thread, going beyond Page three
But now you are back, and this poem is done

haha that was brilliant stell! Oh i was looking back and i forgot to say TY for the poem you did on the 3rd of Jan...nice one mate.

Stella, my mate, what a talent you are,
In this very thread you've become a great star.
With great vocabulary, a great sense of rhyme,
I have seen you become masterful over this time.
True I've been going, and my fears were great,
But the thread is still here, with thanks to my mate.
And missus paula, who prompts us to write,
Giving title after title, all through the night.
I guess we're a team, all the poets in here,
And in my acknowledgement, I raise a beer.
So much time has been spent, writing the verse,
Off the top of our heads, no time to rehearse.
It fills up my heart to see how far we've come,
And all of the pages filled with the poems we've done.
So one more time, well done - you've done quite a job,
Here's a glassed raised to the funky poet mob!

And so we have yet ANOTHER fab one from the Guevara fella!

The Grand Slam

First up was "that team" the favourites, oh hell
Give them a stuffing, at Twickenham ?as well
Next came the Scots, try hard as they might
They were totally outclassed, under estimated the fight
Up came the big Italians, reputation intact
We gave, them a lesson, now that is a fact!
Next up came the Irish, they thought this was it
But we tore them apart. Slowly, bit by bit
The last game was the French, who came here with honour
To steal the Welsh crown, with passion and valour
But out came the lads, with a defence like a dam
And we took home the plaudits ??..TRIPLE CROWN AND GRAND SLAM!!
