Ross County

What a shocker in the Scottish Cup,
Ross County giving Celtic a showing up,

I have never seen Celtic play so bad,
But what a brilliant game that County had,

Celtic were well and truly left in the dark,
As County played them off the park,

Even though they're a much smaller team,
Anything is possible if you dare to dream,

So good luck to the Staggies for the final in May,
I really do hope that things turn out their way,

WOO HOO YOU TWO!!!

Here is a poem in a different style,
I just hope it will make you ,

Thought it would be fun to give it a try,
Please don't criticise and make me ,

You may well think that this poem is bad,
But you better like it or I'll be ,

This is one part poem and one part gaff,
Once you read it you can't help but ,

and as for ross county
celtic were shocked
my team dundee united
just wont be rocked.

Hope to see United in Europe next year,
They really play as if they have no fear,

They've come along way since that 7-1 thrashing,
Quite simply they have been smashing,

Peter Houston has done a brilliant job,
Points from the Old Firm they've managed to rob,

Be nice if they got a decent Europa Cup draw,
But I know they won't coz that's sods law

The only time you wont get a
Is when your poems really stink

i'm miserable unhappy got nowhere to turn,
and i aint even got any money to burn.
my car has been broken for seven days now,
two new clutches later i'm left scratching my brow

so i'll ask funkypoolers all over the place
to lend me a car coz that would be ace
don't think it will happen thats what i fear
so will just have to drown all my sorrows in beer

Seaside

I get on a train to go down to the coast,
It's a place where I love to be the most,

Stare out the window and admire the scenery,
Big tall mountains and acres of greenery,

Get to the beach and buy an ice cream,
Sit on a bench and have a dream,

In the amusements I spend some money,
Come out clutching a huge stuffed bunny,

Dinner time I'll have fish and chips,
Sit on the sand and watch the ships,

My skin's turned red from all the sun,
If I was a steak then I'd be well done,

Starts to get dark, I go for the train,
It's time for me to head home again,

Sit at the window, but I can't see a thing,
Oh how it gets dark so early in spring,

Don't want to leave, I've had a great day,
I really wish that I could stay

Smurf thats sounds like an ideal day
A warm and summery time in May

When the sun shines and the sky is blue
Lazing around is all you have to do

Lay and daydream on golden sand
Or walk with a loved one hand in hand

Get the beanbag through the hole
To win a goldfish and a nice bowl

You can take a ride on some funfair
Let the breeze blow thru your hair

Buy candy floss or a sugar dummy
Go on the ghost train, see a mummy!

Go on home with all youve won
After youve had a day of fun

There was a young lady called Harris
That nothing could ever embarrass
Till the bath salts one day
In the tub where she lay
Turned out to be plaster of Paris

Pool King

Stand to attention, here's the Pool King,
Watch in amazement as he does his thing,

A 1-9 combo or a two ball plant,
If he doesn't get his way he'll have a rant,

With so many tricks up his sleeve,
You'll get so mad you have to leave,

He is the one who runs the show,
Watch in shock as his rankings grow,

This winning run he can sustain,
Hours on line won't be in vain,

He'll get to the top and always reign,
Then reset his stats and do it all again

Great that one Smurf ha, keep them coming

Variety

There's a great variety on Funkypool,
Some go to work, some go to school,

Some members are young, others are old,
But most are worth their weight in gold,

Some people are addicted to Fun and Games,
While others prefer to play a few frames,

Some would like to play in a clan,
A few have been silly and got a ban,

Some members play to be number one,
A whole lot more just play for fun,

There's one thing we all know to be right,
It's great to be part of this brilliant site

On that note i continue his rhyme
As weve both been here a long time

On fun and games posting for fun
On the Booze Cruise lovin the sun

Either or is another good game
The Funkypool times brought us fame

Blankety Blank i thought was great

Lots of new games like Post to a mill
They dont have half as much thrill

Yet still all people laugh along
