One Boring Evening


There's nothing on the telly,
Well nothing very good.
I only bought a licence,
Because they said I should.

I'd rather watch the adverts,
At least they get it right.
Which toothpaste is the best to use,
Which washing powder's bright ?

I could plug in the cleaner,
And start to do the floor.
But what's the point in doing it,
I've done it all before.

My wife she went to bed at 10 ,
She'd seen the film before.
I'd better check the doors are shut,
And locked before I go.

She hasn't left much room for me,
I'm squashed up like a jelly.
That's it I'm going back downstairs,
To see what's on the telly!

Hangover ???

Lying right there, in her comfy old bed
Too tired to move, she can't lift her head
Lips stuck together, her mouth all dry
She thinks to herself, oh why oh why ??
Her head is thumping, she has a sore throat
But I am not here, to laugh or to gloat
I know how she's feeling, can't be asked to move
Unlike last night, when she was busting a groove
But she will come round, in an hour or so
Back on-line again, with her usual glow
But then again not, she's maybe really not well
As she explained in her message to Stell
Well if that is the case, and it is not down to drink
Get yourself to the bathroom, and throw up down the sink
Hopefully honey, you did not drink to much
Don't stay away too long, because I love you too much
But if you are fibbing, you know I can tell
Because I am your cariad, and your loving Stell

Fireflies glowing nearby
The sun setting in the evening sky
the wind so mild providing a nice breeze
setting off the calm waves which were at such ease

My toes dig deeper into the sand
as I find myself lost in a fantasyland
not for long tho when I hear steps behind me
I turn and see your face..the only one I would imagine it to be

I stand to be beside you
and smile when I look into your eyes
Reach out to hold your hand
Didn't know I'd be taken by surprise..

I'm trying to hold on tighter
as your hand's losing its grip
but you begin to fade away
and it all just happened to quick..

Tears run down my cheeks
like warm, thick raindrops
and I'm hoping to myself
this pain will soon stop..

It's been over a year, since I first logged in here
And I've had quite a few laughs, over a beer
Laughing and joking, with you lot online
Sometimes at your expense, and sometimes at mine
I love this place, and all of you, who are on it
Those that are still here, and those who have split
You have filled a hole in my life, a pleasurable one
A hole that has been filled, with so much fun
Have some friends, who are special, some who are close
You are the reason, for this poem I compose
You know who you are, you're the ones that read this
This wonderful thread, the thread not to miss
We all have it in us, to write the odd rhyme
So you should all try it, and give it a whirl sometime
And you all know my endings, they are normally absurd
But this endings for MY Paula, she has my last word.

Looks are a bonus, the crown on the head
But without love in the heart, the relationship is dead
A beautiful face, can also conceal
A different soul, that could be unreal
A true person will know, someone who?s kind
That will see through the beauty, one who's not blind
But it is hard to take, when you see a nice face
I've seen it a lot, logged into this place
But remember, you make the judgement, just you alone
Don't just go for just beauty, or your love may have flown

These words flow from the pen in my hand
As my heart aches while you're at that land
Of which the aim is to break you down,
To tear you apart, to make you frown.
Your head will bow as you take a blow
For one wrong word, for being too slow;
You will swallow your soul to save face
For being unique is a disgrace.
"One-of-a-kind" is no phrase you'll hear:
"Individual" is what they fear.
For it is the mission of the Force
To rip apart your soul, make it coarse;
To level your spirit to the ground
So that you're sure to utter no sound.
And when you're back to a simple boy,
Their aim for you won't be to destroy:
Now they'll try to rebuild your spirit
And teach you ways to not inhibit
Yourself, your thoughts, and your fears as well,
For we know experience will tell
The story that we all try to hide
When doubts roam through and hit us blind-side.

Thoughts like this cross your mind often, sure;

The pool server was down so it was over to snooks
Tho its so quiet there it can give you the spooks
But they are all fab when we invade their site
The mods they are great help with all their might

We have new poster called pitbull Pete
Can be a torment but really he's sweet
He has done some wrong in his past here
We fell out bigtime to all that was clear

But we cleared it up and were mates again
Tho the tart sometimes drives me insane
But he makes me laff when he has a dig

His good sense of humour will shine through
When hes playing or chatting with you
