i would love to have seen what he would have been like down at the other end of the grid where the other great legendry drivers had too and see if he would have been able to work is way up like the others have.

So you both hate Lewis cause of the press he gets? How mature......... and if this is the case, you should hate Shumy - cause we had to endure 7 years of that idiot!

Do you not think Lewis proved himself before he got to F1? Do you not think he's proved himself worthy of the seat he'd driving in? Your answer is yes, as he does deserve it all. He may not be a legend yet, but he soon will be just like all our other greats! Fair enough it may take 10 years before anyone really shouts the fact, but it will happen.

I really hope he does win this Championship now, just to shut all you haters up!

Lol. I don't mind ferrari since they have new young drivers.
Schumacher just won too often in 1996 which is why i disliked him, he sure could make a race exciting though!!

Still a legend regardless if i liked him or not, just like what's potentially going to happen in a few years with Hamilton.

mr_mcquiston said:

ITV Broadcasters called Lewis Hamilton a legend because he's a good driver in his rookie years. That's what bugged me.
I have no problems admitting He's a great driver, and i know he's bound to win a few championships, i just dislike the way the media put him across,

mr_mcquiston said:
Oh, not forgetting the fact that James Allen branded him a legend, it made me sick to be honest.

I don't think anyones seeing the point i'm trying to put across here?

Oh and for the record, Massa took Hamilton on the OUTSIDE, today!
McLaren were so lucky to get that win today as well.

Oh and i apologise for digging this out the old archive, but remember the Nurburgring last year? with the heavy rain and safety car madness etc...

I noticed this picture of when Hamilton, including 3 other drivers:

Posted Image

It turns out, he was the only one that got lifted out, and allowed to continue, why not the other 3?
Besides, i thought this was illegal?

Quote taken from FIA standard rules:
Drivers can no longer expect to benefit by being returned to the track via a recovery vehicle following an incident. This change has been made in the obvious interests of safety. It discourages drivers from remaining in stranded cars, and also means that officials and oncoming drivers are not put at risk by a recovery vehicle carrying a car towards the track rather than a safe area

No Dave, I really don't get your point. IN fact I doubt many will........

And yet you still ramble on about how un-fair it is.........^^^ *rolls eye*

I felt genuinly sorry for, Massa. He deserved that victory today, great drive from beginning to end. Well done Heiki though!

Hamilton is not just a good driver in his rookie years. He's an outstanding driver, whom was very unlucky today to pick up yet another puncture. But you lot just keep clutching at your straws - see how long it lasts!!

Well done Glock and Alonso, good drives from both today!

If Hamilton was an outstanding driver he would be winning every race and already have the title.

He's good, no question about it, but his arrogance and lack of respect for racers that have been in the business longer than him is appauling.

Anyway, onto more important matters:
Valencia next!!!!
New street track as well.

How brilliant does that look? And that's only a sky view, looking forward to seeing the cars scream over the bridge!

why is it only ferrari fans who seem to notice this arogance? hes fully aware hes a very good driver but theres a difference between arrogance and self belief that some people dont seem to be able to grasp, and as for this lack of respect, i hardly think alonsos actions last year warranted any respect

He may be aware he's a good driver, but his arrogance towards other drivers is what i'm putting across.
As for Alonso, he didn't brand the back of the field monkeys and does watch where he's going in the pit lane!
I'm sure that says enough about what kind of person he is.

Who's he been so bad to?? Have you seen how respectful he is towards the other drivers on the podium? Have you heard when he says good things about other drivers? No I didn't think you would - you only see what you want!

And why would he have the drivers championship wrapped up? I think your missing something..........

Keep clutching chaps, keep clutching.

We understand what you're trying to put across, Dave. We just don't agree. You have no real substance for your claims, bar one comment.
I'm not gonna argue with any more Lewis haters. I find it quite silly that you see all this stuff, yet not the obvious good he does. As well as being a great role model for young children.

Valencia is going to be a good race. Nice that they're being so good to the fans of late!

Agreed, lets talk about the racing, this has got to the point where it's just being daft!

If you look closely at that map, anyone else notice there's a bit missing at the water section???
What does that mean? Was the image taken before a bridge was built? or is it a tunnel??

I felt sorry for Massa there. I like the comical bit where as soon as the engine blew he put his hands on his head
Thirlled for Kovaleinen! I hope he can gain the confidence now to perform to a higher level consitently now. Also thrilled for Glock, driver of the weekend by miles! Really showed what he is capable of , mentally, physically and also a high talent level. Also, Piquet seems to be coming out his shell now and catching the eyes. It's amazing, one good result then come the end of the next race he is a name on many peoples lips to possibly move to a bigger car.

What does everyone think on driver line-ups and changes for next year? Any driver particuler that you want to see in a certain car?

EDIT: Terrible spelling.

I'd like to see Alonso in a more capable car, Renault don't seem to have it put down this season.
Would like to see Fisichella, Sutil, Vettell and Button having a go in better cars, but that's doubtful since i think most of them are under contract for a few years.

Yeah I agree! Would like to see al these chaps in a more competitive car. Hope Kimi retires and Alonso takes the reins at Ferrari - be great for F1! Button seems like he wants to stay at Honda - shame I think he'd look good in a Ferrari or McLaren.............

Isn't Vettal moving to Red Bull?
