:O thats the first time John and Dave have actually agreed on this thread.
Lets stop and take a moment to get over the shock.
I have only really started watching F1 in the last few months. Did Alonso win his 2 championships with Renault before or was he with another team?

1eye, I think Vettel is moving to Red Bull, as sadly, David Coulthard is retiring after many years

So is Barrichello i think.
But they deserve to retire from F1, they have committed many great years for their respective teams.
Barrichello for Ferrari and Jordan in earlier years.
Coulthard for Williams and McLaren in his earlier years.
Those were the best days of F1.
I want Imola back.
And Adelaide!

Yup, they must be the two oldest in the pack, along with Fisichella and Trulli. I remember the drivers in a Formula 1 1998 game

Legend is entirely the wrong word, but that's a media issue and nothing to do with Hamilton as such. Target your grumpiness at those who deserve it :D
Hamilton has the best rookie season performance in F1 history. He deserves credit for that and it may very well turn out to be legendary in due time, but that term is not something that can be legitimately used after as little time as a single year - IMO.

It still bugs me that they have named Hamilton a legend!!
Here's a legends profile to avoid any confusion or people that agree with it:

Looking very much forward to the day we might see Glock in a top car. Pretty sure that could evolve into a top driver.

Well done Glock and Alonso, good drives from both today!

He is a bit cocky now and then, at least comes across that way, but I've seen no real disrespect at all so that's in the eye of the beholder I guess.
As for disrespect - I truly hope you hated Schumi then - a more arrogant and disrespectful driver has never been part of the F1 sport.

Why Fisichella? After his lack of performance in the couple of years when Alonso took the championship I don't think he deserves a new chance in a top team. He has proven pretty solidly to be a mediocre driver at best.
Sutil, Vettel I can agree on tho - less so Button.
As far as Alonso goes - I'd rather see him do the Pamplona bull run with his shoe laces tied together than drive a F1 car at all :D

I'd like to see Alonso in a more capable car, Renault don't seem to have it put down this season.
Would like to see Fisichella, Sutil, Vettell and Button having a go in better cars, but that's doubtful since i think most of them are under contract for a few years.

Button is the best driver in the field. If he had a Ferrari or McLaren no one would come close to him!
Seriously, who else won a race with a mediocre car!?

Yeh, in 1996, just like what Fisichella done in Brazil a few years ago.
Speaking about lack of performance n all...
You must be joking that Fisichella was and still is mediocre.
I strongly doubt you would have said that back in 1997 and 1998.

I said it in 98 just like I do now. He has had way too many years in way too good cars without showing results to deserve the credit you give him.

I agree with Jan. However if Button was to be given the same chance - he'd win! Or at least be challenging............
Still sad to see Coulthard go............
Now you've both set me off ya pair of gits.........

Well, it's a new circuit for everyone, they've basically had today, Friday, Saturday and the race to learn it.
It COULD be anyones race because of that, I'd like to see Kubica battling in this one, if he gets another win he's definetly in contention for the title.
Apart from that, i'll be supporting Ferrari...not for the win, but not to break down!!!

I'm just really excited that we've got a new track, a night race and Spa still to come! *Jumps up and down like a girl in a barbie shop*
