Massa' driving was a very impressive site to behold, but what a boring race. Raikkonen needs a kick up the bum and Glock and Vettel need a pat on the back

I hope Massa avoids being penalized and I'm sure he will.
What do you think?

Sutil wasn't racing for anything to be honest.
Plus it's a tight pit lane.

The Ferrari pit crew proved that.

True
Do you think he will go on and snatch the Championship from Hamilton? I really hope he does, I want him to prove everyone wrong and show he's a top driver. I'd rather Heidfed, but beggars can't be choosers.

It would be a shame for Massa to recieve a penalty for his teams stupidity, however they live and die as a team! Something is obviously wrong with Ferrari's pit lane as 2 mistake's in one race quickly points out. What's so bad about having a lolli-pop man? I hope the win isn't taken away from him as that really isn't deserved, however Ferrari obviously need some sort of punishment - if not for the incident then for their reaction to it. Safety should come first!

Good race from Massa. Very boring indeed - a shame really as the track looks quite superb in a scenic sense.

But don't worry lads - Spa will be alot better and their is that night race coming up!!!

I really hope that the night race lives up to its billing.
I can't wait and just hope my hopes are not to high

Spa is the chance for Ferrari to maybe pull their finger out. I think they were saying Ferrari and Spa go together like a house on fire, so more points for Massa, and hopefully Heidfeld and Kubica

Great race for massa he really did dominate and i think now ferrari have to support massa. Kimi hasnt been at the races this season and i think know the title is out of his grasp.

Well we are a long way from the end stringer.
If Kimi can get a win in the next race, he's right back in it.

Hope that's the way of things.

Indeed, David. There's one of four that can still win it!

My head still says that Ferrari have the better car, however I do hope Hamilton ca win it.

the team doesn't decide when to exit the pad and enter the pit lane after a completed stop. That is solely a driver responsibility. That said, I fully agree that it should not warrant a penalty. This is racing so racing should not be discouraged, as long as they don't violate pit lane speed limits of course.

regarding the car, it would seem Ferrari is pushing limits a lot harder than mclaren to remain among the top cars, judging on the very poor reliability of late

Really good ending to the race today, starting with the Hamilton vs Raikkonen scrap.

Both drivers overtaking, then the rain starts. Hamilton loses control, and the lead. Then Raikkonen spins, and loses the lead. Both are driving at around 30 miles an hour, and then Raikkonen crashes with another spin. Meanwhile, Hamilton can barely control his car.

To add to this very fast ending, Nick Heidfeld comes out of nowhere with the correct tyres and finishes third

Very very annoyed by the stewards' decision to penalize Hamilton tho. He was forced by Kimi to cut the turn leading onto the start/finish line before the last lap, AND correctly lifted to let Kimi pass, as is required per the rules.

McLaren has provided FIA with technical evidence of that fact, so hopefully the appeal will go through.

Another incident that could have been a bigger problem, but apparently not under consideration at all, is the multiple direction changes Hamilton made after turn two. As per the rules, you are required to do only one. Then again, that is not subject to investigation at this point, and the situation that IS has sadly been extremely misjudged.

Very strong performance by the brit, and I hope he gets back the victory he won, but I can't help feel sorry for Kimi too - he did a very strong race and ended it extremely stupidly.

Disgusting - sharen't rant. Jusr disgusted at the decision.

I'd like to thank Kimi and Lewis for a great race. I felt very sorry for Kimi and thought it a sad end to his season and perhaps even his career in F1, depending on what he chooses to do.

I'm loving the racing going on. Not so much the judging. F1 will recieve a big backlash if this decision is left to stand!

Can't say I love F1 in general anymore. Today's race was a pleasant exception to the rule, with lots of excitement and entertainment going on.

What F1 desperately needs is a LOT more mechanical grip and a LOT less aerodynamics. GP2 is the perfect example of what F1 *should* have been.

The challenge tho, obviously, is how to achieve that without making the already small gap between the two series too small. My answer to that is to let F1 race with a little more power (8-900 at least), a good deal better tyres (getting slicks back next year, but also need to increase the width a tad as well as do away with the retarded compound restrictions they currently have).

In short, more mechanical grip, way way way way less from aerodynamics. It's the simple recepy for more on-track battles, which exciting racing should be all about.

Weird that, i was wondering if Hamilton was going to get punished for his corner cut followed by a better run at Raikkonen.

To be honest, i think Hamilton was trying to be too greedy as usual, Hamilton would have had raikkonen on the straight after Eu Rouge anyway.

A point deduction for Hamilton??
