Okay, being the language freak that I am, I am supremely embarrassed that I haven't gotten this yet...

So I will take a few guesses, just to see if I'm right.

Fallible, because it's the only one with double letters (ll).

Fallible, because your "simplllle" has four "l's" in it and it is the fourth word down.

Um, both "decent" and "sane" because they do not comtain the "lll" sound in any part of the word.

Rational, because it is the only one that contains four vowels.

And... I'm out of guesses for now XD

Nope.....

If you do a certain something to change the meaning of the words, so that the same effect is had on their meanings, you should get it then. The hint refers to one of the words I used

But I am not sure what one it is, as all can be made negative...

Loyal will be my guess, as all the others begin with an "I" when made negative. eg. Insane, inedible, imbalance...

But loyal becomes unloyal...
