Now you want less fixtures? When most of last season you were begging me to play you more. Hmmm, bit like a weathercock? Change with the wind.
I personally think the reason for players inactivity isn't due to the amount of matches it's the duration each one lasts. Some players can easily argue there aren't enough fixtures, the SL ones can take approximately 10 mins each, then what wait for nearly 3 weeks for the same jovial episode!

I think if we shrink the games in league we will loose more people. Really, the league is what keeps the people coming back that have been on this site for years.

Nice to see some people talking sense. Captains should be forced into bringing more players into the clan leagues. There's a real incentive to do so with squad sizes of 16. Cutting fixtures or clan sizes will only reduce playing numbers over the long term.
The biggest issue by far is willing, capable captains. Whatever my grievances with the likes of fatmikee (and there are many), I think when people like him try to form a new clan, the rest of us should all rally round and try to see it happen. Losing UB's and Scorpions is a blow, and both are lost due to no-one wanting to captain either side, rather than player numbers. What can we do to make captaining a more attractive proposition? Big wraps to kris and buckjam who have both become good captains, but where are the next two coming from?

I think re_rack_jack with support can be a great Captain as he proved before with taking on T.A.L.K. I also think dgeneratio could be too but it's having the time and not as many commitments which will be his obstacles.
I think there's a few - A good Captain is only one if has a great support network, Players (Reliable) and Vices etc.

I agree with Ash here. u can be the best cap here is, but if u dont get enough support from your team then you are destined to fail. Hence the reason i have 4 vice-caps and a co-cap... and growing, hopefully.
Things have became much easier when the work-load is reduced, ie shared...

Thanks Faust for those kind words.
Tbh i havent found it that bad, but having Mousy about helps keep me on the straight and narrow. The biggest issue is people subbing players mutiple times believing they know more about their availability then the players themselves. Its not just in the last week either its from day 1. Ridiculous, but i wont go on.........oh but i could.

Without making my plans, or what were meant to be plans too public...
Me and Jack were considering forming a clan together as co-captains, although those talks ceased pretty quickly, leading me to search for a clan for next season..
I remain adamant that should my services be required to captain a clan, that is to say there is a shortage of clans and too many players going without, then I would step up and captain a clan. But for the time being, I'm happy doing what I am.
I have no doubt that there are other capable captains on this site, it is just whether they are willing to put in the time it takes to create, organise and maintain a clan.

I have played 211 clan games. Is that not enough for you? I have also managed to stay and captain one clan long enough to help successfully complete more clan games than you will ever be involved in. So please don't keep butchering the English language, and making factually inaccurate posts. Try and read what you've typed before you press the "post" button.

the winner of the FCL wins outright where *goal difference* does not count..Out right points win.
i have not read back on this discussion so far sorry. A team win 65-55 etc all true the season..the team with the most points wins the league overall..or is it that way now lmao.Shut up fran

I have no interest if any of what is suggested would have impacted what happened this season. I personally don't like a lot of the formats that the leagues are scored they are inherited. The different formats are more conclusive to other scoring methods but that is my opinion. I would happily have a frame count method to win one league just not the FCL as it has always been promoted as the league where the best team wins, which I always would relate to a football league or similar.
I would have FCL as team games where the best collective points total wins the game and use scoring like football with frames as goal difference with no bonus points. So if you had a scenario where pros won all games apart from one, uprising had an identical record with one loss. Then the team who had won the most frames would win league same as winning by goal difference in football.
I would have FBL as players are playing in their favourite game types as all frames count. So every frame matters and the clan who wins most frames will win the league. You could look to increasing number of frames to 10 or 12 frames if people wanted it increased. The only problem is straight does not really fit and you cannot have its frames counting more than any other. Or you make straight players play for hours!!!
Super league you could leave as it is or maybe even look at adding killer in to make it a bit more of an all round team event In a short format.
