I, in turn find it hilarious that a captain will only sign premium players for his "professional" side when his clan's future is at stake. Of course this is no problem for this long and established "quality" side as rules were made to be broken when it suits. NAAAAA. Lets see what happens when special dispensation is needed to keep a smaller team afloat.

nike were approached by many if not all sides, the reason he said he didn't join us were and I quote 'I'm waiting for my 30 days to be up, then I'll decide'. So I fully respected that decision.

Pros were/came extremely close to folding due to having many inactive players, the resources or lack of in which their Captain had to select from were very restricted.

I have no problems with nike being in Pros, great to see a top quality player in a top side, I do reserve judgement on whether he's the only player they could have signed but when you're known as the Reigning Champions then it's only fit and proper to try and continue that reputation.

I sign decent players whom I see potential in, also sign top quality for them to be surrounded by. Would I sign anyone who I felt would be to the detriment of the team and it's chances to try and succeed? The answer unfortunately is a no. Maybe that's where my competitive edge comes in where from day one since me being a Captain I've wanted to prove the leagues are not only about 2 sides.

Keeping all sides established within the leagues is paramount to them and also to maintain our teams competition. So whatever the League Runners decisions are then let's just accept them, I do think players should be allowed to leave now or an unscheduled transfer window be set in place to combat the mirrr situation though.

special dispensation has been handed out to 'smaller teams' for a long time. Had exactly the same scenario arose but with the worst player on site would so many people care, that's the real question. Special dispensation was granted and they signed a player, that's all that matters. I want to same rules to apply to all teams and as a precedent has been set many times I see no issue with this. The alternative being a team might fold. We have all agreed to stop it before I see no reason to not be consistent now.

I have absolutely no problem with who they sign either and in no way would want a team to fold. Im just saying that when needs must, you have to take what you can get. They didint. They opted for a good player and then played him when he wasnt legally able to be played and that was deemed ok. There was at least one other player on the "looking for a clan page" at the time who could have played. This option or any other was not taken as the player or players in question were deemed not good enough. Not right in my humble opinion.

i shall again repeat the point ANY player they signed wouldn't be eligible as fixtures were already released so what's the difference between giving them dispensation to play them than giving this individual dispensation? Quick question, have they or haven't they folded after signing ONE player? I think your answer should tell you the runners made the right call.

Ok, yes the right call was made. No doubt. As i said folding a clan is an absolute last result whatever. Ironic though that throughout all this they ended up with a quality player. Not someone in 650's.

To clarify I had already approached Nike around 2 weeks ago and I had the same reply that ash had (he would decide when his account reached 31days) , I went on trying to recruit , I asked 4 or 5 players to sign and none of them either had the time or the desire to play clan league

I then went on to lose dbno , jamesmcgarry , tinie & davey_1985 in the space of 2 days also have davybaumers offline over 1 week , I spoke with Keith about the possibility of Nike playing in the next set of fixtures (which hadn't been released yet) at this point I had 8 active players + 1 inactive so the possibility of folding was a realistic one

The remarks made by some people that I haven't approached people because I don't think they are good enough is pathetic and not needed at the end of the day its up to the captain to sign who they think would help the team , I agree with onevisit would everyone be making this much of a fuss if I signed a 675 ranked player

So glad I'm chucking it after this season too many tedious people who drag the fun out of an online game
