I'm very happy with Sunderland's business

just realised what a greedy sod Borini was
or did he do it on purpose because he didn't really want to leave Liverpool

still, I think we are safe this season, no dramatics 9th or 10th finish would be very nice and safe by February
maybe I'm asking a little to much

It would be Sunderland without the drama

Ricky Alvarez: He's a pretty decent player, Coates should have played more at Liverpool instead of Kolo Toure IMO.

Your best signing by Poyet has to be Vergini, very impressed with him. Got a good team now, think you'll finish in top 10 now.

England play football these days
lets be right 11men behind the ball isn't great

if I was Norwegian id be more disappointed that we didn't attack more and a make a game of it especially in a friendly
what were the pluses in their performance

they know how to defend, amazing

England need real genuine pace and get behind teams
instead of trying to batter down walls
the system just isn't suited to our players

To be fair, it didn't help that in the first half that Norway were camped in their own penalty box, but in the second half were a bit more adventurous which was ultimately their downfall.
As that allowed Sterling a cracking run into the box and being fouled.
I thought England looked very very good once Rooney was taken off and Welbeck on, although how much of that was down to the extra space left by Norway seeking an opening, I do not know.

I still think our defence looked ropey, who would people prefer our CB's to be? I like Cahill and Jags, but Jags is a bit slow for international level.

As a liverpool fan saying this, I was very impressed with Phil Jones last night, thought he was outstanding.

jack rodwell for me ... i know he has only just come back from injury and into A first team but he has pace and strength in the middle of the park .. stick him with wilshire and thats a decent centre midfield partnership, sterling too slight no end product, when walcott is back we will have that extra pace up front that we have been missing.

Are you joking about Sterling? One miss at the weekend doesn't take anything away from the fact that he can strike a ball. Did you not see the goal against City last season? lol.
And at the weekend, the pundits were creaming over how strong Sterling was.

Rodwell needs to play at least a full season before he is even thought about playing for England!!

No im not joking about sterling ... one goal against city means he can strike a ball ? one miss at the weekend and how many countless times does he have a ball go on a run and its a poor cross or poor decision making leads to him giving the ball away, from what i have seen of him he goes down far too easily. Clearly in that one game he stayed on his feet so the pundits praised him, He can be a decent player but he will never be fantastic.

We have different views, that is fair enough. He has been MOTM several times for England now, and loads of times for Liverpool.

He has scored about a dozen goals for Liverpool in this last season and this season, which I don't think is too bad for a teenager.

I have watched most liverpool games, and he is exceptionally strong for a person so slight.

Sterling had a half decent season in the season before last, last season he greatly improved his finishing and his strength which had been identified as what he needed to improve. Compare shot accuracy and he's gone from 43%, to 67% last season and this season is at 75%. Rooney in the same period stayed at 53% for both previous seasons and is down at 43% currently.

As long as he doesn't get injured, he's gonna beat his goal tally from last season and be a real asset. He's probably our brightest prospect and has got Madrid sniffing around for a reason.

England were woeful again, Sterling is a number 10, Welbeck ignited a bit of pace.

On the plus side Di Maria assisted 3 goals and scored the 4th in Argentina's 4-2 win over Germany. Wicked!!!

Sterling is no where near a complete player
not a chance

without Suarez teams will look at him
lets see how he does this season

2 players watched Suarez last season now he is on his own

lets see

good shout about Rodwell , buts lets see in the coming months

for Colback to be included was a total joke
I could name a dozen players before that joker

MOTM for England ? you will have to send me a video of when that happened .. i saw him in the first game of the world cup and everyone praised him for running around for 90 minutes like a headless chicken without producing anything,

its my opinion on him not everyone has to have the same opinion .. quoting what he has and hasnt done will not make my opinion differ.

you say he is gonna beat his goal tally ... But thats not always true with players is it .. he could not score for the next 8-10 weeks nobody can predict how games are going to go. I didnt say he wasnt an asset Liverpool he does a good job he fits in the system well .. but i find he runs around a lot like a headless chicken with no end product.

You must be so used to watching Villa play there 'exciting' brand of football that when a team actually plays football and plays well, you can't recognise it
