Hendo or Sterling was liverpool's most improved player last season, very glad that Hendo has got Gerrard's job in that anchor role in midfield, will keep that position for a good 8/9 years now.

H is only young though Matty. I think he has the potential to be/do the next Gareth Bale and make a mega money move to Real Madrid in a few years. Everyone used to say the same about Walcott, runs around like a headless chicken, cannot cross and can't finish a sentence, let alone a shot. But look at him over the past coupla seasons (in between injuries) and he's now got those attributes. Yes could be down to working on them but, mostly due to maturing as a footballer I reckon.
But can see where you're coming from about the headless chicken part

quite the opposite, If a team plays good football with good players i stand up and applaud .... typical Liverpool fan though can't see anything past your own players been back in top 4 one season have we ?
You must be so used to watching Villa play there 'exciting' brand of football that when a team actually plays football and plays well, you can't recognise it

Your right Walcott was the same and oxlaide-chamberlain is the same also they will all improve but i aint seen nothing from Sterling that i think will make him a world beater .. just my opinion i guess.

Behave, I am not the typical Liverpool fan
But to not credit Liverpool with playing good football, then it shocks me, people want to see goals, no matter who you support, BR has given Liverpool fans goals to cheer.
Yes, we concede a few too many, and that cost us the league, but to score nearly as many as city, come second in the league and provide some of the most entertaining games (Cardiff, City, Spurs, Arsenal & Everton games come to mind), surely means we are a good side to watch?

I don't enjoy watching Liverpool play its just one of those things, never have done and i still don't now.

Fair enough, if we all agreed and liked the same thing, life would be a very boring place

a few things I agree with Matty
Sunderland fans applauded Henry when he scored a wonder goal
Applauded Cantona
Applauded 200 Plymouth fans for travelling up to Sunderland on a Wednesday night
then wet themselves at the Liverpool fan chucking a beach ball on the pitch
then complaining after
real chucklzzzzzz
Liverpool have been in the football wilderness for years
now they shout and scream
let them enjoy their moment, that's football
arrogance cannot be tolerated

Who do we think will win tonight?
Switzerland vs England,
The Swiss are firm favourites in the eyes of the bookies...

Reckon a lucky draw too, expect to be second best but hold out and nick a draw. I think Hodgson has to win over the support just as much as the players. Methods aren't working and it'd be a shame if the brave youth we have coming through slumped into the same old England mentality.

wayne rooney made that goal .... and quite frankly has ran his a** off tonight in an england team that hasn't been great, but rooney really has been fantastic tonight .. sterling had a great ball for that goal but really has lacked any end product so far ( apart from the ball for the goal )

England played well in spells, seemed to retain possession very well but Sterling apart from the assist were a little how to put this...erm crap. Henderson...were he on the pitch? Hardly ever noticed him tbh. Wilshere is sooo over rated, I'm gonna locate my garbage pal kid cards and one of them could play better, either that or me subuteo player lol.
Two very fine finishes by Welbeck, he should have created a goal in the first half but that pass were woeful to Sterling. Still think Switzerland had too many opportunites and Hart were fortunate that one strike caught his leg. Gokhan Inler looked different class for them, Shaqiri were the only one doing any work with him. Against a more clinical side England would have lost once again I'm afraid.
Will happily take the 2-0 but prefered the Rep of Ireland match last night and Aiden McGeady's goal were sublime!!!! C'mon Ireland!!!

wilshire was being asked to play the holding midfield role .. which everyone knows is not his role at all.

the Swiss out did us in the world cup
to be away from home and win 2-0
is a class result, especially when we trialling a new system
Delph was crap
Sterling needs at least another 2 seasons before we will see the best of him
better teams would've taken our defence apart

I think the player of the match of Phil Jones, he marshalled that back 4 (apart from 1 error).
Sterling had an off night, but showed his confidence that even when it isn't his night, he can still produce the pass of the match (maybe that or Joe Hart's pass to Sterling).
Hendo once again was class, doing the leg work, breaking up tackles, and put a few decent balls in the box which should have been capitalised upon. Delph was a bit over eager, hence his early yellow, but soon calmed down and had some penetrating runs.

So, the day that Liverpool announced that they had signed Balotelli, they made £50,000 in sales of his shirts..
That is nowhere near as much as I would have thought!
I recently went to buy a LFC shirt, and was quite shocked at the price of a genuine shirt with name on, £70 plain adult, £75 with BPL badge on. Lets say half of those who purchased a shirt have the badges on, bringing the average price to £72.50.
Now a childs shirt was £40 or £45 with badges, so lets bring the average of those to £42.50.
Lets suggest 2/3 of shirts are for adults, and 1/3 for children, the average price of the shirt would be £62.50.
£50,000 shirts sold for (~an average) if £62.50, meaning 800 shirts were sold in 1 day, not exactly breaking news in my eyes...
