So, the day that Liverpool announced that they had signed Balotelli, they made £50,000 in sales of his shirts..

That is nowhere near as much as I would have thought!

I recently went to buy a LFC shirt, and was quite shocked at the price of a genuine shirt with name on, £70 plain adult, £75 with BPL badge on. Lets say half of those who purchased a shirt have the badges on, bringing the average price to £72.50.

Now a childs shirt was £40 or £45 with badges, so lets bring the average of those to £42.50.

Lets suggest 2/3 of shirts are for adults, and 1/3 for children, the average price of the shirt would be £62.50.

£50,000 shirts sold for (~an average) if £62.50, meaning 800 shirts were sold in 1 day, not exactly breaking news in my eyes...

rip off
who are the sponsors now

Adidas set a price on all shirts this season £45.00
I got name, numbers and 2 premier league badges all in £60 quid

something very wrong there

oooo the tantrums will start earlier than expected...great stuff.

I'd play Lambert instead - hopefully he gets the nod before Bam Bam.

QPR - debut for: Blind, Rojo & Only Falcao - ouch!!!

erm don't no where you get your figures from
difference in prize money for winning and losing the premier league
starts at around £1 million for 22nd
up to around £23 million for winning it

Sunderland grossed over £70 million last season

prize money, tv, Bidvest sponsorship only

without shirt sales and fans totals and other sponsorship deals

Sunderland's estimated income for 2013 to 2014
is £110 million with everything chucked in

not bad for a crap club who got to a final last year

The premier league dishes out 1.2m per place, so up to 24m for the winners, and of course I am going to include tv rights, as thats part of our earnings I could include the shirt sales and everything else, but you cant even afford our part time striker or hold onto your players, so no point rubbing it in haha

Typical ballotelli ... playing in a behind closed doors match gets substituted after altercation with player (He has beat my prediction by some good two games).

Yeah he does but without Hazard and Fabregas he'd be nothing, let's see how good he is vs Man City next week......get in Gabby Agbonahor - 1-0 !!!! Falcao kept him out of the Athletic Madrid team lol, so he ain't that good. Pleased to see Remy score after such a turbulent Summer he'll prove to be a better signing than Costa in time.

Lallana's lucky still be on the pitch - nasty challenge from behind on Cleverley, now a dive. (guy needs an oscar)

He had more to do than Mignolet to be fair. Decent showing up till the final third. Potential is there, just gotta give it time. Fair play to Villa, they got their goal early on and thn hung on in and made it tough, and were a bit naughty but got away with it. Gutted with the loss but at least we weren't as bad as United have been this season, should be a good relegation 6 pointer tomorrow United are due to be asleep for another 2 months before they miraculously win the league.
