In the past, defaults were looked at that way. Only since the SL came around did people even think it would be genuinely possibly since it eri nearly managed it first time round.
I would agree that for now they are a certainty, but it doesn't mean that they can't be kept to a minimum. I've seen some good ideas on discussion threads, and as attitudes and opinions change then the rules should be altered appropriate to the majority consensus.
There have been complaints over subbing since they were first allowed. They are as certain as death and taxation!!!

what is not to understand about these rules
they are clear and to encourage games to be played
5.3 Substitution limit
There are no limits on the number of substitutions that can be made in any fixture.
5.4 Deadline for substitutions
Substitutions may be done at any time during each fixture. Clans are encouraged to make their substitutions as early as possible though, leaving as much time for the game to be played as possible. The timing of any substitutions made is considered in a defaulted game (see Rule 8.5.6).
5.5 Required approval
Substitutions are not subject to approval by anyone.
you talk about unwritten rules farcical really
the only person and team bringing the game into disrepute is you
its simple if the rules allow it and they do clearly
who is the true culprit, the rules are there to be followed
so simply abide by them and stop the moaning and berating of teams and players
they are clear and to encourage games to be played

7. PARTIALLY PLAYED GAMES
7.1 Definition
A partially played game is a game in which at least one frame is completed, but fewer than the complete game format.
7.2 Scoring
A partially played game is decided as the current result + defaults for the remaining (unplayed) frames (see Section 8)
7.3 Disconnects during games
In the case where one player logs out / gets disconnected in the middle of a game, that player normally loses the frame in play. The opponent is encouraged to be sporting and replay the frame, depending on how far the frame was played but is not obliged to.
7.4 Aborted games
In the case where a player has to abort the game (for whatever reason), both players are equally expected to maintain efforts to get the remaining part of the game played by the deadline.

7.5 Substitutions in partially played games
Once a game has started between two players no substitution may normally be made. The exceptions are 1) where a player has been banned, has deactivated or has been removed from a clan - in the event of a player getting banned/deactivating or being removed then the game may be continued with a substitution from the clan whose player left; and 2) where all parties (the players and the clans directly involved) agree to a substitution being made. In either scenario there must be agreement to whether the score continues from the point the previous one was suspended or whether it starts anew from 0-0. Any agreements from both sides must be recorded in a verifiable format for the avoidance of any later dispute.
If a player deactivates and decides to reactivate their account after the game has been completed they are then not allowed to re-join that clan until the following season. They will also not be classed as a free agent and will not be allowed to join another clan until the mid-season transfer window or the end of the season.

not really interested you and a few in your clan have done nothing other than berate the runner over this
and the quantity of embarrassing posts over a captain following the rules is un real
trust me you and some of your team mates are the guilty ones here
read the rules, none are broken, so fix the record and move on
stop bringing this league into disrepute
its about time Chris you stepped in and stopped all this rubbish once and for all
its this type of constant crap, that is ruining clan pool
again no rules have been broken your comments are totally unfounded. move on

If you want the rules followed Craig then we will replay the match should it be that you feel so strongly. Otherwise your clumsy quoting of rules can be kept away. Uprising could've had the game replayed but we don't like messing our players about like some do.

We've not berated the runner, we've expressed our dissatisfaction about the way some people mess others about in a clan league which is what truly ruins it. Another is when people post without reading what has been said much like you have here since it was Chris that first pointed out the rule break that occurred. So have a read of the rules before you say something which is as clear as day is unwritten.
I wouldn't trust you ever after some of the thing you've come out with. Demanding from the league runner will get you nowhere either.

I don't give a jot tbh
I read constantly the berating of any sub Ash makes
all games get played no rules are broken end of
however the personal remarks and the constant goading of a captain to stand down, for what ? following the rules
again its you and a few of your team mates bringing this league into disrepute
its a fact and yes a fact zante, no rules are broken
so explain your constant attacks and berating, goading of Ash and the demands for him to step down
with all due respect, he has never cheated and I'm not going to go there again, so what gives anyone in your clan
the right to berate anyone
the rules are rules now move on, if your not happy maybe you leave the leagues instead of making it uncomfortable for everyone else
its gone on far to long way to long

You are making yourself look a fool as usual, the personal remarks have only come about as you and Ash have made them. Jus because you continue to act ignorant of a rule, doesn't mean it has not been broken.
The league runner said it has been broken yet you deny it? Arrogance and a love of arguments and conflict have always followed you round. Before you embarrass yourself more with this hypocrisy I suggest you read the rules.

In the (highly unlikely ) event that I'm ever 3-0 down, I'm looking forward to asking my opponent to restart because...ummm...my unicorn was distracting me

ooh no back to personal remarks (real surprise here)
its a discussion thread, no rules have been broking relating to substitutes
move on, calling for the head of a captain is farcical
reason >>>>>> following the rules
erm Hypocrisy probably at its best
my last post, no rules have been broken relating to subs
maybe move on

Can you please quote where I've advocated Ash standing down, or one singular instance of me berating chris? No, because you can't! Please try and argue with fact rather than conjecture!

Craig you should take this offline like you bleat all the time on your thread. If you don't then I shall assume when you say it, we should all ignore it to.

Don't think he has a thread. He threw a tantrum last night when lfc12 relayed some basic information to him.

I'll make it easy for you:
Davy was 3-0 up against Ash and wanted to start again another time on his own computer.
The next day he was then subbed out and the game was played.
According to the rules about partially completed games, for this to happen Ash would need removing from the clan or both our players and captains consent to make the sub, and then the score to be agreed pre match and it to be recorded so as to be verified. It was not. Therefore the rules about partially played games have been broken.
Don't kick up a fuss then tell people to move on, you hold no authority.

17:34 Sun 25 Jan 15 (GMT) [Link] your player goes on the attack and ends up, quite rightly, with people explaining how he is wrong and its folk ganging up on him?
What on earth do you all read when you read each other's posts? Talk about rose tinted spectacles!!!
