Just to compete? The Etihad is marginally bigger than Anfield and Stamford Bridge is smaller. Stadium of Light and St. James' Park are both bigger but Sunderland and Newcastle are both way off the top 4, White Hart Lane is much smaller but Spurs are still competitive. Stadium size has nothing to do with being able to compete.
Again you don't really bother to read my post, I mentioned atmosphere, not said it was what made a ground good. Never said it was unique to Liverpool fans either, but you've made that ignorant assumption. Perhaps we should all just wait for you to tell us what to post since you just twist everything said to fit in with your own linear thinking?
I have sampled several grounds, I've never claimed to be an expert like you. But I can disagree when you state your opinion as fact without supporting it with any fact whatsoever. Personal experience is not fact.
zante
fact is the current Liverpool owners and previous ones to
know they have to build a new stadium just to compete with other teams in the big 4
you say atmosphere is what makes a stadium good
laughable comment
its a full combination having been to loads and loads of grounds
atmosphere isn't Unique to Liverpool fans
you need to sample more games and grounds not just on tv

Best atmosphere when a goal is scored...
Are you actually crazy? Of course it is going to be the largest ground, but is United even i the top 10 for atmosphere throughout a game? Not at all.
United fans last week actually got a letter on their seats telling them what songs to sing and at what times in a bid to ramp up the atmosphere... true fans don't need to be told that.
Arsenal fans are terrible they were at highbury and now at the emirates it has got worse. I went to the '01 Worthington cup final (I believe it was at the time) at the Millennium stadium and even at 1-0 up the Arsenal fans were not singing and making a noise, and nothing has changed now.
What makes a good stadium is a mixture of Atmosphere, Stewarding, Comfort, Accessibility, and if you fancy it Food and drink.
Liverpool are very good on all.
But as you say Craig you obviously know more than us because you are the master and go a new ground every day, what do I know about Anfield I have only had a season ticket for 19 years.

Another thing about the money...
Arsenal as Zante said had the money this transfer window as over the last 15 years they have actually got more in from player sales than they spent on players meaning their business has been shrewd, so that 43m on one player has been 10-15 years coming.
United are over 600m in debt, have 3 or 4 players on 250k+ per week and are about to offer Rooney 300k p/w or 300kp/w after tax (not sure). United do not have the funds they previously had, and with the loss of Ferguson they are about to (in my opinion) go into decline for a couple of seasons. I wouldn't be surprised to see RVP go next season, and if he does I think Rooney will be close behind.
City and Chelsea... well they have billionaire owners and basically get who they want. Chelsea however have been focusing on their youth recently but I would not be surprised to see them bring in a few first 11 players next season as some of their players are getting on.
Liverpool have not spent in January despite having 30m to spend, that on top of the money we will get if we get champions league place plus our participation will then make players more likely to come and we could have a budget of around 60m which would be brilliant for us.
Spurs... had 100m and blew it.

2-0 to Liverpool, start of the second half. United should be down to 10 already and I think they will by the end if not less

Wow. What a match.
3 penalties (1 quite soft) Could have had 2 more.
Won 3-0
Wiped the floor with United.
AAAAND We weren't even at our best.
Do I dare believe?
Let's go get drunk.

The confidence of contenders, no pressure from expectations. Makes for a great team to watch!

It's a hard one to call, city have the games in hand to make it to the top but also stutter with performances.
Chelsea have got the manager most able to guide them to results but both these two have some bad discipline which could cause them to drop more points.
Arsenal were impressive today, properly dug out a result and won it ugly with a clean sheet albeit against a spurs attack that was lacking a cutting edge. Though I think they don't have it in the tank to gain the required points, they could get some good form going into the last few games.
Liverpool have been very impressive, delighted as a fan to watch them and if city drop points again Liverpool would actually have it in their own hands where they finish. Won't have any fear of Chelsea or City and the run in looks quite nice

Soft?? You mean absolutely no contact whatsoever?
Considering: the clumsy foul by Fellaini early on, Rafael staying on the pitch after making a late and dirty challenge then deliberate handball in his own box within a few minutes of each other, another penalty not given long after, united trying to claim two even softer penalties and the fact the soft penalty was missed, I would say United got off lightly for their poor play.
The officials didn't have a bad game, united are just bad. They thought getting a few results against some of the few teams that on the whole have been worse than them meant they were back in business. They've never been in the top 4 race never mind the title. They have been fighting for Europa since January, and the teams above them are all better than them, it's that simple. Everton are a good shout for 5th and I think they deserve it more than Spurs who are looking out of their depth if they think they are chasing champions league football.
Down at the bottom, Sunderland are too good a team to go down, though if I was a fan I'd start to get worried that they haven't climbed away already but with the games in hand I can't see them not getting out.

Fulham need a heroic bit of form now to avoid the inevitable, I like Cardiff but I think they'll go down too because if the manager change and I think they would've stayed up if they'd stick by Mackay. West Brom and Norwich I would have as the two most worried but the bottom teams seem to have hit some great results this last week or two and all have a chance of rescuing their season
03:32 Mon 17 Mar 14 (GMT) [Link]
Liverpool have agreat chance with City and Chelsea both to come to Anfield!! I wont rule them out until those games.
Sunderland should avoid the drop, Poyet has got them playing decent football, they've been to a cup final and have a very decent squad to survive. As a Leeds fan i know Poyet does the work with the players ( And this time he does'nt have wise to steal the plaudits!)
I think Malkay Mackay must be laughing his socks off wih the way Cardiff have fallen, and tbh i don't blame him one bit.
Personally i reckon it will be Norwich WBA and Fulham for the drop, although id not rule out Palace/
