Rogers isn't new
Ermmm Wenger is the master
Rodgers has had it easy tbh
With the players he has,,, European games will tell on Liverpool next season
They haven't the strength in depth to do both
Let's be honest here
You've got it easy this season with no European football
Mark my words your reserves won't make the grade next season in the first team
Next season Rodgers will be found out
While it's great this season lets see next

Sunderland now have Hull or Brighton to overcome
Could well be 2visits to Wembley this season maybe 3
Depending on the draw
Not bad for a crap team

And that is part of the problem of modern day football, 1 year 8 months into the job and he's not considered new. Of course he's not brand new but he isn't established. Give him a decent chance at it, we're moving in the right direction and he is getting us into a very good league position.
Wenger has had over a decade to sculpt his team and should gone years ago really, but he's finally back in a strong position to challenge for silverware. He won't win the league or champions league, his team isn't good enough without certain players. The FA cup he has a shot at but I can see city winning that. Then it's another season of what could have been.
Of course it will with the current squad, but the players are developing and we can get some back off loan for depth, and of course we'll build depth in the summer.
Yes we do, that's why we've gone for it so much this season do we can grow
Your words are marked, we have a good youth set up and plenty of talent yet to be shown

With Suso, Borini and Assaidi to name a few who have shone this at other clubs, we will the required depth. Of course these are not world beaters, but was Sturridge before he became to liverpool? No. Was Suarez, he was a very good player, but we have made him one of the most sought after strikers in the world at the moment.
That is not to say we don't have some dead wood lying around, I still don't see Allen making a first team spot his own any time soon, (but we said that about Hendo just over a season ago), if Jordan Ibe can make the improvements that Sterling has made over the last season, then we another good young speedy winger to add to our ranks.
Another good CM, LB & RW and I think we will have a squad capable of pushing higher up the league. It is just a shame that Lucas is so injury prone at the moment, but with Gerrard covering his spot, he is now adequate for when Gerrard gets injured!
Our squad is slowly building into a great squad, there are only 3 teams in the whole prem who i would say have a better squad, and funnily enough, those 3 teams are above us in the league. We are moving in the right direction, it is taking time, but Manchester United wasn't a proven success until a few seasons into Fergie's reign.
Success takes time, winning a cup or two doesn't make a successful team, being in the fight to the near end does, season after season.
I believe that in the next couple of seasons, we will be in the fight for the league, mark my words.

sorry i dont agree
your right uve bought average to good players and gelled them well
but
to say there are 3 teams better than you
lets examine 4 at least
man utd
aresenal
chelsea
man city
these teams can all go out and spend 40 million on one player without blinking an eye
its ludicrous to think your in that league with the strength in depth those teams have and have established themselves in Europe.
Spurs, Everton and yourselves are in the next mini league
it will cost you millions to play catch up
after Daglish wasted millions
will it be offered up again and even if you did the big boys will splash more cos they can
youve a very good side, but lets not get ahead of yourselves, you need to continue this vain and have a sustained period and establish yourselves in Europe

dont get ya ?????
Sunderland arnt in the same league as the big boys, hence our position
we can compete and no we wernt lucky
weve beaten
Man City
Chelsea
Man Utd
so can we compete the answer is yes, are we consistent and am i gunna sit here and rave on about Sunderland this and that no
but are we in a Cup Final because we are lucky the answer is also no
are Liverpool lucky they arnt in Europe this season or are they unlucky
simple answer they wernt good enough last season or for a good few seasons
we however sit in a relegation spot, and are in the 1/4 final of the FA cup
and a Final
are we a better than Liverpool simple answer no
we have expectation like any club
we can spend money and waste it
however under Poyet we maybe turning a corner

United a better team than us you got to be joking.....they've got a poor back 4....very average midfield they use to have quality winger's nani valencia and young aint up to much at all...carrick poor season cleverly very much overrated not a united player
liverpool have a poor bench but starting 11 wise only city and chelsea you can say are better then not much difference between us and arsenal i'd say us for our strike force
Since when does spending power mean you have a good team, it doesn't

You talk about 2 different concepts as one.
Spending wise, Chelsea and City are far beyond any other team in the league with their billionaire owners. They have no worries about spending because the owners just want to win things.
United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs are together in the next group. Arsenal are ran like a business so to say they can spend 40 mill in the blink of an eye is a ridiculous statement, they are very careful about spending and wouldn't do so in the blink of an eye. To say that is to show no understanding of Arsenal as a club. United are massively in debt and they can't go spending money like City and Chelsea, especially with their awful owners. Spurs and Liverpool do have spending power as they have shown, but not the same reputation in recent times. They aren't a superpower, but only really the top two can spend that much on one player without hesitation.
Squad depth is different, the 3 above us have it. Maybe spurs are about the same. Uniteds quality is poor now under Moyes, they need a complete revamp.

Man City have bought their team, others have nurtured and only added a few players to the nucleus they already have. Arsenal have only acquired one player and they expect miracles from 1 player. Ever likely he is feeling overwhelmed and is struggling recently with all the expectation on his shoulders.
Liverpool have a very strong team, they wont win the League this Season but next season I think very possible. All depends on what City and Chelsea do. Man Utd will sign a few players that i'm sure but they will still struggle for at least 2 seasons I feel then come good again. (Prob with a new manager wouldn't be surprised id Villas Boaz ends up as manager)
Tottenham IF they appoint Louis Van Gaal will be the team to watch next season.

Chelsea have spend a lot too over the years, though a lot of their focus has been hoarding all the younger players and loaning them back out. They don't have so much focus because they were already pretty successful around the top, City were lower down. City will move on to buying younger players and loaning them out, on the scale that Chelsea do it.

you say your in the same league as Arsenal and Man Utd
Arsenal paid 40 million on one player
they own there own stadium which is one of the best sporting facilities in the world
because Wenger doesn't spend doesn't mean they cant
Man Utd you say debt
you mean factored debt, they can spend what they want, another team with a fabulous stadium and facilities
how you can say Liverpool are in the same bracket boggles me
Liverpool and Everton are 2 of the worst stadiums in the premier league fact
Liverpools mini league is Spurs and Everton
your spending power is not in the same bracket as the top 4
and with a new stadium imminent there spending will be even more restricted
and you cant tell me the money you wasted 2 seasons ago will ever be repeated... Andy Carol to name one,,, and others
this isn't an attack on Liverpool its facts

Arsenal paid 40 mill on one player then didn't buy anyone notable because they couldn't just spend the money in the blink of an eye. If you read my post you'd understand I knew they we're capable of spending that much. Ozil is a great player but he's not been money well spent so far, though I'm sure he will be. If it was any other way then a footballing director would've been brought in to buy several players for that price. Wengers transfer approach suits arsenals business style.
United again are capable of spending that money, but can't do it to the same capacity of Chelsea and City. They bought Fellaini for an extortionate amount, and the got Mata who they might be able to salvage 5th place with if Moyes plays him right. They couldn't afford to bring in 3-4 Mata's in January and they need to offload players to keep the wage bill down next summer.
I can't speak for Goodison but I'm sure joe_calzaghe would disagree strongly with you. Anfield is not one of the worst stadiums it's one of the best. Atmosphere is electric before during and at the end of a game and the fans are brilliant. Just because you say fact after giving our opinion doesn't make it fact.
To put Everton in the same spending bracket as the others because of their league position is nonsensical. Everton don't have the budget of Liverpool and Spurs and don't have the same income. They've loaned in players and bought smartly. They aren't a spending power like the other two

We wont overpay for players, we will be a lot more cautious but eventually we might spend that much again for a top quality proven player. Carroll did better in that season than Torres at least (both waste of money)

Very true, IF he did St James Park would be a venue for PPV events (punkpoets thinking not mine), all i know is this is true and Mike Ashleys had enough of his own fans booing him and the team.

fact is the current Liverpool owners and previous ones to
know they have to build a new stadium just to compete with other teams in the big 4
you say atmosphere is what makes a stadium good
laughable comment
its a full combination having been to loads and loads of grounds
atmosphere isn't Unique to Liverpool fans
you need to sample more games and grounds not just on tv

Best Atmosphere when a goals scored is Old Trafford.
Noisy annoying atmosphere is Britannia Stadium, Delilah all bloody game, wouldn't mind but no footballer on pitch with that name, silly ducks.
Kraziest supporters Man City, doing the Poznan, bunch of girls.
The Old Highbury were a great venue even with the massive screen on the one side.
Worst ground for atmosphere would have to be possibly the Emirates, too far from the pitch, tried to copy the Camp Nou too much I,feel.
