the thought of her mouse....all crusty and dry,
gives me the heebie-jeebies and will make me cry!!!

Content

looking through a window
I ask what do I see
I see the birds busy building their nests
the trees, glowing such a deep green
the sky as blue as can be
a few fluffy clouds appearing to dance on their way

what will this day bring I ask
grandchildren running around happy as can be
my children smiling and chatting
I have such warm feeling all around me
a feeling of being content with my life

again I look through the window
I feel a little empty
where is my wonderful girlfriend
so radiant and full of life
always happy and thinking of others
her blue eyes sparkle like jewels when she looks at me
I know where you are and love you so deeply

I ask myself in life what is important
is it money, drink, a house, car or holidays
its a simple answer
well being, being happy and content
looking at your amazing girlfriend
your children and your children's children

the radiance and warmth they all exhume
fills everything in my life
I am so very proud, happy and yes very content
who needs money and material things
my life was cloudy and misty
till all the above broke through those dark clouds
and like the sun filled my life with joy

I stare hard now through the window
and close my eyes
how sad it would have been
if when I had my stroke I never reopened them
it was a very strange place to be
a very dark place

I do believe I was scared
not for me but for the concern and worry I caused
what would they do without me
would I see my daughters child born
not being able to communicate in any way

then i was asked something for the umpteenth time
I blurted out a word then two
since that day, I believe I found total happiness
and the feeling of being totally content in and with my life
I have won life's lottery
I am so lucky as i look through that window
the Angels may have to wait for another day

I didn't realise it would be this hard

I know how you feel, so hard to stop,
When all your mates smoke, and on a night out,
An E-cig is good, but we all know its a prop,
You get a bit a angry and get dragged from a bout.

I now mainly smoke, when I'm having a drink,
Crack open a pakcet, make it last 2 weeks,
But smoking is bad, and it really makes you think,
I have tried and failed, my brain must be weak.

But just like everything, from shopping to food,
It's all in moderation, its so simple to see,
Sparking open a tin, lighten the mood,
Light a fag and smoke it while you peeeeeeee!
