You're right that in your direct match it makes no difference at all. However across a season it would. A team that averages 7 out of 8 games played per fixture with 1 default will score 11 points less during the season than a team that has no defaults at all.

Not a huge amount of difference granted but enough I think - and it might make a difference somewhere along the way in terms of final positions.

I see the FCL league runners now have a problem with our format or scoring, maybe we should've went with the FCL format like we planned originally, oh well, something to definately look at for next season.

I am not an FCL runner, I have nothing to do with the FCL. I am speaking as an impartial spectator like I said at the start and having spoken to a few people from the clans.

And I also never said I didn't like the league or it's format, I just do not agree with the amount of bonus points being awarded.

And I have constructively answered with reasons why they exist. They aren't there just for the sake of having them.

The only ones that need not exist are actually the 'event' bonuses. But they are there to have a little fun and offer everyone a reward for achieving something in-game no matter what the final score was.

Sorry I forgot you run the other league, whats it called again, it will come back to me, wait a minute, oh yeh the FBL, knew I'd remember it eventually.

We could take away the bonus points and add 1 game to each type, would that not make it the same as the FCL then tho.

Presumably because we have different ideas on what is the indication of a better player. Someone that can beat opponents in more game types than they lose. Or someone that might be particularly good in one game type and distinctly average in the other two.

Where did i mention a problem, are we not allowed opinions now, funny that cause i have to deal with countless opinions of your own towards the FCL.

Change the format if you want to the same as the FCL, fact of the matter is the FCL now will always be the actual FCL.

Opinions count for nothing these days especially when moderators need to get a word in, your only joking comment to is laughable as we all know you are not.

Wouldn't say it is about the "better player", just what people deserve for their playing, awarding them for what they have earned in my eyes is the fairest way to score people.

Actual FCL ?, yeh its called the FCL lol, and like every clan league not everyone likes it or the way its run, thats the way leagues are, FCL has got boring, too plain and always arguing, FBL is it needed and TCL has bonus points, thats the opinions I hear but hey everyone has different opinions and preference of what leagues they prefer to play in, thats why the TCL has 12 teams and the FCL has 11 lol

Not really sure you can blame the FCL for arguing, it is the members not the league, I think defaults cause a bit of aggro but it is hard to set guidelines for 15 frames.

However, this shouldn't be turned into "my league is better than your, neh neh neh" all 3 of the leagues are different in their own way and I think all are needed. We may not all agree on how each is maintained but we are not all going to agree 100% on everything... unless I perfect my brainwashing machine!

Laughable again, now you are stating your better off as you have one more team in the league than the FCL does. If i remember right i spoke to Fighting Eagles before the new season was even ready to begin and they stated that they would be doing FBL only this season as they struggled with other games. They then decided to give the new league a go which is fair enough as everyone has done that.

Mind you though if they said no they would have been hounded by why did you not join, and the fact the captain is friends with you makes it easier to understand why.

You have one more team and already saying your one up, it is not a competition like you want it to be. You have a go at the FBL - well i personally know you have never liked it so you would think it is not needed, as for the league being to plain i seem to remember me asking players a while back about possible changes and THEY wanted it to be like it is.

This is now rather boring and the childish digs that pop up throughout the replies are really boring now. Since the announcing of the league i have agreed with most of what has been done, never complained much apart from some bonuses but that is my opinion.

Since being announced a few ideas have been posted and not even listened to, this is the moderators league not a clan league in my opinion from what i have seen.

Read my post again, I said "thats the opinions I hear" and I never said any league is better, even if I did that would just be my opinion lol.


Jay I got out of leagues because of the way they were, only reason I'm getting involved again is because we listened to opinions, now I'm not going to get into arguments on this thread as one of the reasons we created this league was to try to change the image of leagues, hopefully change certain peoples opinions and make it fun again.

I haven't played yet but during the game i like to keep a tally of the score in my head but with this format it is almost impossible. I realise it is like Super League but more complex to try and work out.

Just prefer an easy tally rather than a player or runner saying 5-0 etc as it irritates me as it feels i am bad at maths.

Not knocking format since i enjoyed Super League but for me too many elements in games

They have been listened to - but discounted as not being for the better. There is a difference. And an explanation has been given as to why they have been discounted each and every time.

Of course over time the situation may change and those decisions might be reviewed. Thats how things develop.
