The Clan League is to be a new competition for all Funkypool Clans and every clan member that wants to play clan representative Pool.
Initially it will be organised for you by jooodles, horse10000, ab_rfc, crazzymadman and myself.
The aim is to produce a competition consisting of long format games of the main game types. Allied to this will be scoring variations, changes to default handling and their scoring, possible competition format variations, and overall, the least number of rules and restrictions that we can get away with whilst at the same time ensuring integrity and fairness.
Due to a number of posts elsewhere today, we have had to bring this out into the open now without being 100% decided on the final format, however it is fair to say that the individual games will not be a million miles away from the current FCL match format. Clan sizes will be unchanged from current levels.
As always of course clans have the choice of which leagues and competitions they want to take part in but we hope the majority will at least give this League the opportunity to shine.
The Clan League will take over this sub forum area and the Grand Final between The Sinners and Snooker Squad will be the last Super League game at this time.
Jo and myself would like to thank every team, and player, that has taken part in Super League I, II and III for their support. You have been, almost without exception, a pleasure to organise competitions for. I hope that will continue into The Clan League too.
The Players Championship will continue as an individual members competition for The Clan League players to, hopefully, enjoy. Who knows, one day it might even be won by a non Snoooker Squad player!!
It makes sense to align the start of this competition with that of the other Leagues. Therefore we invite entries now.
If you intend to take part please post below.
Thanks

As I don't see a discussion thread I'll put my opinion in spoiler...
Terrible period for clan funkypool. Super League was a fantastic competition, enjoyed thoroughly by the majority. Having 3 very different leagues kept it fresh and interesting. Now we're faced with either having 2 leagues, or 3 with 2 being almost identical. I see how having an independently run league is appealing to many, but losing such a good competition as the FSL is a backwards step IMO. I'm sure "the clan league" will be a great success, and the people running it are all highly respected in my eyes, but to me it's unnecessary, especially at the expense of the FSL.
All that said, Uprising will still be a part of TCL, as the majority of our team would like to be part of as many leagues as are available!

haha, NOT TRUE!! I think they'll do a great job with this league, I just think currently the FCL AND the FSL are great leagues, and because of the changes, next season can't be as good.
