i dont mean quiter in chatroom in mean the whole site in general your lucky to get 100 ppl online now at one time there used to be atleast 50o in chatroon and loads in members bar there were loads of games to play

There is 97 online players right now, it is also a week day so some people have work in the morning and need to go, have a family and all of that. I was on last week in the game server and what not and there was 43 in chat room with over 150+ players actually online and there was loads of games going on (tournament ones and some ranked)

Yes I think points are being missed. The numbers seem really low on the whole site and it's very noticeable in places like chat. No harm in being curious why?

bluenose, fair enough about clans. My point is not everyone even wants to be in a clan. I don't want to be. I remember when clans were a smaller part of the site and I feel now it's not the best experience for those not in a clan. If some members see that as a discussion topic it's worth raising it. That's why I brought it up.

Some good and interesting points being raised here...

Another one...

When I first started playing Pool there were far more people on here than Snooker which was a newish site then. That has changed now.

I am not sure in terms of overall numbers across both sites that the current levels are any lower than before though. Maybe admin has those stats?

Your right not everyone wants to be in a clan, yes you are right and that is why the clan leagues have a waiting list so players themself can add their own name to the list if they want a clan.

Clans has nothing to do with the lack of people not online or not in the chat room, it is just a way of life and people don't play if they don't have the time to. The site will always run and will always attract new players though, they might not want to chat but just play pool hence why the clans are so big because 95% of a clan is playing games day in day out which this site is for.

It varies due to time zones and that is something no one has mentioned, hundreds play this game on a daily basis but take americans they play more at our night time as that is their day time i think and what not.

Whocares done a test on this a while ago and found that snooker had more players online during certain times to pool.

you shouldnt be stopped from forming a clan though if youve been in one previously or not funky pool is for the enjoyment of everyone not just a select few

People are curious rather than care bluenose.

Also pool isn't necessarily just for playing pool. More to it than that - it's always been a fairly social place and that's what make it unique compared to other pool sites I think.

People have always had families, things to do at night, Americans playing in different time zones. Question is what has changed from then and now to make the numbers much smaller? Fair topic in my opinion.

also snooker is busier around the World Championship in May, one time the server wasn't big enough.

just wondering when Pools top championship is? as around that time pool should be easier for a few weeks

Lol.

And what has changed from then and now? Well clans have become a huge part of the site. Before they were a smaller part. Must be worth discussing that clans have had an effect.

I don't remember a big clan forum and loads of people with clan avatars though. Also seemed to be over every few weeks.

Maybe my memory is broken :o

Yes. I am sure I can remember there being peak times 250-300 on Pool and 150 or so on Snooker.

Think those figures are not far off being reversed currently. But the total number of players would be roughly similar.

Maybe Snooker's chat rooms are like what Pool's used to be? No idea though.

Your entitled to your opinion as is anyone but my own opinion is that clans have possibly saved the site in many ways, i for one would probably not play or come online much if there was no clans or anything like that, apart from the odd argument and what not that goes with it most of the time it is fun and a good laugh and as many players have said they have become a better player due to clan league play. My opinion though.
