Just add my vote to far too many tourneys. Bring back one epic one on the hour and add arcade every couple of half hours.

You would need to first value funkypool for me it could be like a FC united of manchester where the fans buy into the site!

I would be really happy to invest some of my hard earned cash to funky. But like most investors we would need a return on our investment...... so if nick thought this was a good idea im sure he would have thought of this already!

The idea of premium members was to bring in more revenue if im not wrong, now as an investment into the site this might work! If we paid the admin and moderator team to help run the site but charge users for the use! The downfall to my idea would the underage group etc

That is something i had in mind to mate.

Over the past week i entered three tournaments in one day, two of those actually had a decent number of players in them. Sure it was 40+. Again though that was at the high time of the day when there is usually a lot more online.

Value it? right now not much to be fair as their is not as many players as their once was.

Members investing is a nice idea but then we would still have to rely on Nick and others to do things that are not being done right now. There is great ideas going back seven months now, last update was in August if i am correct? That is five+ months with no real change to reel in some new members.

I believe that paying admin for their time even if it was some crap minimum wage would be good and get them in for coding and what not.

Paying moderators i would not agree to, they only really come on when they have the time to and it is their choice to boot people and what not, they would not be involved in any actual site modifications.

We are technically investing to though "Premium Member" may only be a tenner a year but it is still investing in my opinion. I would happily pay a bit more if site modifications and updates where more actively done. Getting money's worth with the no adds but any person with a brain would no that ad blockers actually work on the site to as i admit i have checked, i removed a long time ago though as i got a massive virus from it. I don't regret the purchasing of premium though as no ads is great!

It sure sounds like a good idea to get members involved more - surely there are some people that have skills that can be utilised by nick to help him to implement some of our ideas

For we (all members including me) + those that moan and complain about funky but still come on could invest and help nick improve the site.... with the ideas of doubles etc then im all up for this!

The positive discussion on here is about funkypool and improvments but as you have put the premium has worked in some form.

For me i would hope we could list a few great ideas and get them installed.... we can make a list on here rather than make loads of threads and Nick could read them which he does (dont see me as a mod here) im a member of the site and love ideas of how we can make funky go into the future!

I don't mean it as a slight on Nick, it's his site and regardless of how many people play, there always has been a hardcore of people who pretty much live on here. That shows the potential the site has because pool and snooker have many fans around the world. I just feel as time has passed he has either had less time to spend on developing the site or he has lost interest in it, and that is a real shame as it has so much more unfulfilled potential.

The lottery thing wasn't meant as a joke either. Back when I played regularly, had I won the lottery, I would certainly have enquired whether he would be interested in selling the site and I am 100% sure that there are people on here who feel that way now, whether they publicise the fact or not.

It would be a good investment for somebody with cash to spend. Hire a few good devs and increase advertising and you could see a return on that investment. Letting people play for cash and taking a cut of the wagers placed would be a good income stream straight away.

Well nick should maybe think about advertising funkypool as an *adult site* that might attract some more hermits , trolls and sad single 40 year olds.

The language and topic of chat in game and in the chat room is shocking at times.

I had to tell my 12 year old son its an 18+ site and im guessing im not the only parent to do so.
I love this site but the family friendly atmosphere has gone forever, clear out the old brigade of mods and admins, bring in fresh blood and clean the site up.
