Things like that get said all the time and disrupt the clan with arguments breaking out and potential signings see that they will be put off, existing players might start being unsettled.
If we are taking away captain's permission then at least we can make it so the transfers are dealt with properly.

Simple rule that transfer notifications are made via offline messages would save grief for the team losing the player.

Captain's can run their teams as they see fit, know exactly what you mean though...crazy
The players are free agents then and fine to join someone else anyway.

as i said before 100% agree with lee, want to keep disputes to a minimum, all transfers should be dealt with using offline messages or in game PMs if people are online. No posting on forums about it apart from the announcing arrival/departure of a player into a clan.

in response to tokko, if you are a captain of a clan, you should decide who is in or out, if you dont need to give a good reason to leave a clan, a captain shouldnt have to give a good reason to boot someone if they are not happy with them.

yea thats fair enough. but its not needed and it shoulnt be implimented in the rules, like u said, basic manners and i agree with a post i read somewhere that manners dont cost a thing. if a player is leavin a clan with the purpose to join another straight away, then fair enough. but if a player leaves with no intention of joinin another clan, but then gets pursauded to, whether it be an hr after leavin a previous clan, or a week, or a month, i dont think an explanation of a players actions is needed other than maybe a "sorry, i intented on leavin clans but got persauded to come back by another team"

Again though the point being a player needs permission a captain could release a player who played all their games, was only positive towards the clan.

Shouldn't have one rule for a player and such a lack of loyalty(word which has been used a lot in the discussion) forms captains.

i didnt mean it to sound like i wanted it in the rules, because i dont, but it should be encouraged - i dont want it like a strict regime with set protocols.

if you decide clan life just is not for you and want to leave, still nice to inform the captain of your departure, but if you decide you want to go back to clans then there doesnt need to be any explanation as you already told the captain you were leaving.

Even with captain's permission if a player wanted to move they moved 95% of the time as it's not worth taking up a space in your clan with a player that doesn't want to be there, you can't force loyalty from captains or players.
By the same token why would you keep an unhappy player, why would a player want to stay where they weren't appreciated by the captain?

and shouldnt manners be addressed within the league also? maybe warnings with more actions taken if needed regardin a players lack of respect for other players and/or league runners. like for continuous slatin of players and/or league staff

haha ant oh how i would love to be able to address manners in the league, like you say not just attitudes towards league staff but amongst players too.

i am not entirely sure where me and keith stand on being able to issue warnings etc - i threatened league action through fustration to a couple bickering of players only for this to be revoked by Jay. something i suppose i should clarify with him, because sometimes i think the only way to get people to buck up their ideas is potential league action.

if people thought there were more consequences for arguing, then it might make them think twice about opening their mouths

question is, where do you set the bar at whats offensive/slating? you can be accused of slander when just putting down an opinion.

realistically there would need to be a complaints procedure similar to funkypool itself, where you can "report" offensive/inappropriate material to league staff who will look and decide on any action to be taken inside the league.

well thats somethin to be decided on, but can i ask, does personal slating/abuse count? alot of players find things offensive that other players wouldnt, so would have to sort that out also

ermm how about constant digs at players, sarcastic hurtful comments, comments which are purposefully put on forums to prevoke an argument. Can anythin be done about players makin certain comments to prevoke it? its unfriendly and has turned alot of players away from clans, and bein so many defaults, im sure the last thing people want to do is turn those reliable, loyal and great players away

Sometimes I despair about the running of this.

You have a set of rules drawn up that is fair to absolutely everyone, all players and every clan alike, and then at the first sign of it being challenged it gets rescinded in favour of a change which will benefit (or not affect at all) certain clans and positively disadvantage others.

I know all about how this is a fun league and there shouldnt be too many restrictions on players playing and who they play for as far as possible but ultimately it really does have to be fair to everyone.

so tell me league runners so if you get offensive unprovoked language use by a player
but you still fell fit to over turn a player leaving after all the swearing and calling names that they call you
but you still let such a player in the league why is that
