Super League IV

Asking well in advance for pairings for Fixture Set 2 as the plan is still to release games on Friday where possible to give each fixture period three weekends in which to play.

Elite Force v Snooker Squad
The Unbeatables v Pocket Dynamos
The Professionals v Uprising
The Underdogs v Pocket Dynamos
Elite Force v The Professionals
The Unbeatables v Snooker Squad
The Underdogs v Uprising

Also to confirm the pairs ranking for the season includes all game types not just the Killer games.

Quick question, where do i post that i'm looking for a clan for the super league alone? Sorry if it's obvious Chris.

I think it would make sense to make the Clan Waiting List thread available for all clans and all leagues since it is in the general clan chat area. Not sure what anyone else thinks.

Super League IV

For the attention of Snooker Squad, The Professionals, The Unbeatables, The Underdogs and Uprising captains and players.

Due to teams deciding to withdraw it is just left with yourselves now. I think there are four options and I will leave it up to the majority input to decide.

1) Carry on with the matches already started and under the same format for the remaining matches.

2) Restart the competition under any amended format that the majority want to see.

3) Restart as a Killer only competition under a format to be decided, with input from yourselves.

4) Just knock the whole thing on the head.

I dont run clan competitions for any personal gratification or as part of any ego trip, they are just run the enjoyment of the participants. Any of the four options above are absolutely fine by me.

Thanks

I agree with running a league with enjoyment.

Personally i liked the Super League you done before Chris. I think a few people have stated that already? I think that if you did restart it as a whole and did it like it was before that a few clans would join. Uprising especially as some like the current format but some don't.

We have had our differences but it would be a shame to see the league completely fold... i think not having a Pre Season was a major factor to the team that left (i also think them leaving right now was better than a few fixtures in, but to leave it so late in the first games was not very nice).

On this rare occasion I actually agree with my husband... I would 100% enter my clan with the original super league format.

It is entirely up to you Chris what you want to do with your league but IF you choose to knock it on the head or restart I would strongly try and persuade you to bring back the old SL

One thing I dont want to do is chase behind people who knocked/mocked (and many other actions ) the Super League at the time and then the TCL who suddenly come forward and say they liked it afterall when something new comes out.

By that reckoning the exact same would be happening to the current SL format next season - and I have no doubt it would be.

I dont mind any team leaving at any time - that is up to them completely. But pre-seasons are a waste of time.

I would have to agree with jay here, the current format leaves a lot to luck. Either go with the old superleague format or TCL.

I for one never mocked the league. I personally never agreed with the TCL and the format, and my views have never changed on that league.

I have always said that i liked the old Super League though and when heard you were bringing it back i was really looking forward to it (until i seen the format, which i don't actually understand so can't make any real comment on that)

That is your opinion on Pre Season, it does actually help though and it does give clans a chance to see what they are in for in my opinion.

Would it really make sense to continue though with only six teams (think it is six), how long would that season be?

Its five clans - so it would be 8 games per clan and 8 weeks in total.

i think not having a Pre Season was a major factor to the team that left

Despite also seeing a post along those lines the actual message to me from the clan Captain cited a lack of available active players as the reason which is fair enough.

Oh right i thought it was six, never mind.

Oh well i have said what i want to say and i personally like options two and three (said three as killer is fun, interesting to see what kind of format could be made)

I think i seen the same post (by zantetsukenz). I don't see activity as the issue though and surprised that was mentioned to you as Pockets are one of the most reliable and if you check their team well over 80% are active i would say.

Had an idea of allowing two Killer teams per clan. Players can play for either of the two teams at any time but cannot play for both teams in the same fixture set. Would be a chance to involve more members than a normal clan league and would also be an interesting challenge to a clan to try and get both its teams through to a Grand Final.

I don't that is a good idea at all, do you mean knock this format on the head and go back to the old one?

Or do you mean scrap the thing and the league for good, if you mean this one then i strongly disagree with that but its your opinion

That actually sounds quite decent to be fair mate, what kind of format as in 2 v 2 or higher or something?

I think Killer should remain as a bit of fun,it's a way to socialise and have a laugh, is there any need to make all game types competitive? A few players play killer late in the evenings as a social thing as the chat room itself is dead. (Just my opinion)

I would vote for bringing back the Original SL, as I'm Vice to pixie_dust I totally agree with us entering our team should this occur.

Change it back it back to the way it was originally! 2 frames of each and bonus points for run outs and golden breaks, and get rid of the killer.
