One game a week with a week deadline... there is three leagues and every team is in those leagues (Super League have less the now but still in the joining period). You think that it will decrease defaults?
I don't see how you came up with that at all mate, i think that it would increase defaults. Im sure many others would think this to...

I am fairly sure that, if analysed, most games get played in the first few days or the last few days. The middle period can be fairly dead and seldom serves much purpose other than for a lot of posting for subs that aren't made because there's plenty of time left.
Also every weekend you could have three games with deadlines as opposed to two one weekend and four the next.
I have asked what people prefer as it doesn't matter to me either way. But as posted, there will be two weeks to play each game this season whether it's one game released each week or two released every fortnight.

Chris, you keep referring to the other 2 leagues as if they are based on "stroke play" (frames).
I'm pretty sure the fcl is not, it's a compromise of both our opinions. It has huge bonuses for match wins.
and the fbl is still undecided i think, she's doing a poll.
Just noticed this though, you said:
"Play-Offs to decide the ultimate winners in end of season head to head shoot-outs "
All that debating about the points system for nothing lol, if you're gonna throw the info out the window at the end anyway, and have a knockout round.
Even your point system isn't that flukey, you've turned it into a Cup.
Shouldn't the winner be the clan who played the best throughout the season? Instead of the one who happens to win their last match?
You don't have to answer that, I don't expect to change your mind about anything. Just wanted my opinion out there.

Got to say the new format and scoring system will suit the better players and open the gap between the weak and strong clans, the socalled weaker clans and players could possibly score nothing in a fixture, the odds of a weaker player beating one of the top players is low, doing the points by frames the socalled weaker players could atleast have a chance of getting something for their team.
Personally I think the TCL with tweaks would've been better, do away with the bonus points for completion, gb's and runouts and I think clans might be more interested.
Just my opinion

I also agree with ab_rfc. Although bonus for golden or run outs takes some skill, run outs take more obviously so i think the bonus on that should stay but the individual game type win bonus was a bit laughable and that is why many started to dislike it in my opinion.

There are no bonuses.
If lesser players stood no chance over three racks in a game type then tournaments would always be won by the best player entering. That simply is not the case. Lesser players actually stand nil chance over 12 or 15 racks as has been proved again and again for 4 years or so. Yes they might pick up an average of 4 or 5 points but in the wider picture those points are meaningless.
Regarding Play-Offs it depends on a number of entrants. 8 clans or less and it would likely be just a league with two games against each other team. Two games against each opponent gives a fairer reflection of performance whereas one doesnt necessarily - particularly between teams of equal ability.
The huge advantage to a Play-Off event is that ultimately a winner is decided from play as it disregards any points won by default scores during a season.
Seen posts saying the format hasnt been stated.
For those that have not managed to click a link in any previous post previously I attach it again.

Those 4 or 5 points might be meaningless to some people but gaining a few points for their team can be the thing that keeps some players interested, getting zero will soon see players lose interest and fixtures not getting played.

Hence why players play tournaments, because they have a chance of actually beating better players and winning. Better to beat an opponent than to have a guaranteed loss and earn 4 or 5 points for the pleasure of that loss surely.
Plus it has never been said the TCL is over. Surely what this site needs is options and new ideas. There have been enough threads and posts on threads along those lines in the last few months.

Lets see what happens when players are posting on their clan threads "sorry I also got zero"
Lets just agree to disagree on this one

Too confusing for me ill give ti a go tho, if i like it ill stay on and if i don't like it ill just ask to be left out and give some of the others guys a go at it, can't see why there are so many complaints nobody is forced into playing in this league, best thing to do if u dont want to lose points etc is dont lose a frame lol, points are points u get them for winning, doesnt matter if its 1 or 15 its the same for everybody.
Second thing is, so now we don't have bonus points for runs etc?
Thought it was a good addition, all this luck talk going around from 1 guy i was reading earlier, its not luck that gets u a runout or wins u a frame, all i kept hearing was that word, especially from 1 team.
Really think u should re consider the runout thing, i mean our team are a real good attacking clan, most snooker players are on a pool table, we got rewarded for our good play with bonus points which help u keep it touch with a stronger clan or even in front of them.

Things change and people dont like it. No one liked the Super League initially. Then it ends and suddenly it was 'fandabadozey'. People didnt like the TCL then you get others saying it was really good and the bonuses brought in attacking play.
No one wanted win bonuses in the FCL. Now it looks like it might return to 20 points again.
People didnt want Killer in FBL. Some were even adamant they didnt want it and wouldnt play it if you read back in the threads. Now it appears it might be coming back in so I guess opinions have changed there.
This could work and be good fun or it could be rubbish. I have already said as much previously. No harm in seeing though.

Ive always been for the TCL league, the chance to get extra points by playing well appeals to me and keeps me motivated every time i break.
Super league its safe to say i hated that always did tho, no secret there i rarely played in it, so few a frames it wasn't a match but in general it was liked i think.
So definatly no bonus points for runouts then chris?

Personally I always liked the original Super League, thought everyone did! I'm not keen on win bonuses in FCL, but I loved killer in FBL. I'll wait to judge this new format, but I'll need someone to explain it to me as I'm a bit slow!
And rather than just having attacking bonuses, i think a 3 foul bonus in 9ball would be nice!

Depends what the consensus view is.
Having Run Out bonuses in odd numbers of frames is a bit lop-sided. In a pairs game (2 x 9 racks) one pair could break off 67% of the time which is not really fair. Would work better long term if those games were 12 racks. But at present it needs to be 9 racks.
