Thanks - maybe trial it in the Cup as a compromise and see what happens? Although I would prefer it in the League too, I am a realist.

I'm up for giving it a trial in the clan cup next season. I don't think this is a choice i want to make on my own though. I want to say yeah but don't at the same time

I will say though i don't think it should be in the league games. FBL has got there cup format lower than the actual league and i think maybe something done like that would bring more enjoyment into things.

Leave the actual matches at 5 games of each

Maybe lessen the cup format like whats done in FBL IF you are going to make any change to game format.

I would be prepared to try and run a FCL Players Championship (Knock-Out Cup) for all FCL members registered at the start of the season (unless anyone opts out). This could be either in addition to, or instead of, the leagues.

Maybe, for the cup, just play first to 8?

Well, the players decide what they want to play first. They need to play 2 different types, to get to 8 games. Normally, I choose the first game, my opponent the second. That could work here.... 'Cause, when your 8(+)-2 up in a Cup match, what is the point on carrying on?

That only works with an odd number of matches where its the matches won that count as the result.

ie 9 matches and MVP beat TPA by 5-4

Doesnt work if you are counting frames won as the score as it is now.

Does have the benefit of meaning some games dont need to be played ie MVP go 5-0 up - no need to play the last four matches.

However the negative is deciding the running order of the game types. Whoever got first pick is guaranteed 5 games of their first choice preferred game.

We play; 5vs5 - 7vs7 - and the final I'm not too sure on......

5 v 5 until semi final which is 7 v 7 then the final is 9 v 9

We can still do it on score.

My idea

League - keep as 15 frames
Cup - Shorten it to 9 frames

individuals what i was going to do is...

have a 16 man tournament in the 4 game modes (8US, 9US, 8UK, Straight), frames format would be 5 frames (3 if Straight) then i could also do a Plate competition for 1st Round losers.

i think this would benefit because

A) Players can choose their own game mode instead of playing a set

B) Not too much work for me (i.e. defaults)

I think that would be great in my opinion as gives the weaker teams a good chance of making a comeback if they playing strong squad, also many people have argued in the past that the cup format should not be that long. Im going to suggest this does go to a poll though, easier poll with two options.

As said before James your in charge of the Individual League aslong as you keep it up to date i don't mind what you do

i know chris but straight was added this season by techno since there was a lot of interest for it, if people don't want Straight then i can just make it 32 players for the main 3 types in the league.

you would need 4 options Jay

- Keep League and Cup Format the Same
- Shorten both League and Cup to 9 Frames
- Shorten Cup to 9 Frames, Keep League Same
- Shorten League to 9 Frames, Keep Cup Same

Yeah i suppose you are right, the four options are better. I would be very surprised if it went in favour for the league and cup to be changed though.
