Already 17,000 games played and been out less than a week. Good going that! Excellent addition.

Not got an issue with the game, just got an issue with it going into tourny schedule.
The game, as described, has been made for new folk on the site but has taken away normal tournys from the schedule which long term players would look forward to. Its my personal choice but I have no interest in it as i prefer the skillful side to the other games. Could this not be put in at a different time of the hour instead of taking away more skill based tournys (as this game is pretty much all luck)?

Agree totally it has no place in the tourney schedule and I don't think you should get tournapoints for arcade games. There is no skill involved in this version and I choose not to play it.
It should be on at half past the hour like the friendly tournaments are.

Tend to disagree with your comment here! There is a degree of skill required in all disciplines of funkypool!

Well if you look on the threads everyone sees it as either a bit of fun or a useless addition don't think many would argue it's a skillful game.
It's ok for newcomers, younger people or whoever just agree with onevisit that it doesn't belong in the tournament schedule.

I think you need to play more than 13 games before you give up - this will add weight to your comments by getting to know the game a bit better.
It is a fun game, with a high take up. There's more to it than luck, but you do need to be more careful with the cue ball. Control the white well and you can make very elegant controlled clearances.

Yeah like nick said...it is a great addition and i like it, even if it does take me like an hour to get used to the other tables again . This game start to become more interesting when more people are not newbies any more. Cause at the moment tournys are the only way of ranking by more than 0.2 lol

I read a previous post from you nick and you said you were looking into getting more people on the site. I think doubles would radically do that. I gather from the years i have been around that this is like the major goal for the site but if your looking for more players as great as these games are which they are imo doubles will greatly help to reach your target.

I only played those 13 games because it suddenly got included in the overall rankings, I never had any interest in it. The level of skill is nothing compared to the other games obviously because as you said it's been brought in for newbies that find the original games too hard.
Point to prove it look at onua's stats 22,000 games of UK to get to 130 run outs by far and away the best player he'll be at 130 run outs by 1000 games of arcade considering you only break in half the games thats 1 in 4 off his break he clears and this is new to him!

Read the posts _pro_frog_ I don't care about it's inclusion just dont think we should lose decent tournaments to it as onevisit said.
As for players liking it it's seen as a novelty bit of a laugh at best, can't see any of the regular players carrying on with it past a few months
Off the thread for the first arcade competition...
im in, even though im really unhappy with the crappy new game... noone requested this! theres no need for it?? why didnt you make a worl rules version of 8uk, the one people were actually asking for!!!! ahhh, anyway, ill show you all how this stupid game is played.... D:
I've already said I'll have a go, but just quoted this for fun.

very true
but im in, ;-)
im in even though it sucks

Not sure if there is any need for a different version of UK8 but also feel like this game is more something you would play on your phone.
I guess if this is the way you are going forward with funkypool then features like doubles that would improve the game types we use now are never going to be a priority.

Irrespective of how many run outs etc a member will or will not get, how do you think that the member has gained the experience and know how of getting these. Majority of time through hard work, practice and an element of skill..

Err he's gained the experience and knowledge 22 times easier than on 8 ball UK obviously.
You can't possibly argue that the level of skill is anything like the other disciplines obviously giant pockets make things easier
Original point is being lost I'm not interested in discussing the merits of the game it was brought in apparently as an extra option for people with smaller screen devices, newbies or people who just want a bit of fun, fair enough but by putting 3 tournaments in the day schedule it's being forced through as a main game type and I don't agree with it.
Put them on at half past the hour like friendlies.

Makes it easier to pot, makes position harder though, you're clearly missing that point.
3 tournaments out of 25 (as it is a 25 hour rotation system) isn't a lot if you think about it.
And now I look over 19,000 games played already. That's some going that!
