New 8 Ball Game - Arcade Version

A new arcade version of 8 ball is here!
This game is aimed at:
1) People on limited size screens (tablets, netbooks, etc)
2) A more fun game to attract new users
3) Those who just enjoy potting!
Proportionally both the pockets and balls are much larger. This makes potting easier - but of course this is the same for you and your opponent! However positioning, and ensuring the white doesn't go in-off are actually tougher.
A 9 ball version will be released following feed back and any alterations.

will this also be released onto the ranking and tournament system?
and also this sounds awesome, reminds me of one of those blast billiards flash games

Yep rankings already exist. Tournaments will exist depending on feedback.
Note it can look silly for those with huge resolutions - to get an idea how it looks like for those on smaller screens reduce your window size to 800*600 or so.

I'm afraid so.
When I added it I copied the default values from US 8 ball and forgot to remove it from random tournaments. Random tournaments require you be non-newbie in every event, which of course no one is. This will need a restart to alter.

in my opinion the more game types you add the less that will enter random tournaments.
can it just be non newbie on one event then get more entries?

It couldn't be, because some fake-newbies (recreated accounts and resetters) could enter and damage legitimate players scores. (This was reached after discussing in detail before when altering the tournaments and ranking system before.)

Wish i'd read that before I played a game! Pulled my overall ranking right down surely if it's for people not using a computer you shouldn't have to play it to get a complete ranking?
