Oh right- forgot to mention that in our case both captains agreed there should be an extension. That's important. Otherwise what you mentioned is very valid.

Surely you realize the difference between the final deciding game of a cup tie going to defaults and a random league game?

Going on past evidence- in our extension game a month back, we got the game played the next day, everyone was satisfied and happy with the results, and there were no fights. Not much more we can ask for right?

There is a set deadline for a reason whether it be a cup fixture or a league fixture. Game has gone to default end of really.

If i was asked if i wouldn't mind an extension then yes i would agree to it though as it should get the game played, but seeing as shortstop is either 13 hours ahead of slimeball on time zone i don't see the game being played and i nor toluca have any more subs available.

I think the right choice was made by Sarah and i stick by it.

Makes no difference to me between cup and league as 1 point through the season in the league could decide that competition too.
I just think you get plenty of time to play them and you shouldn't change the rules except in extreme circumstances.
You say what's the harm in it if both captains agree? I kind of do agree there it does make a big difference if both captains want the game played.
I just don't like the idea that people will be quoting this decision in the future just like they have done now and not sticking to the deadlines because 'it will have been allowed twice now unfair if you don't do the same with them' and so on and so on.

so doesn't matter if is tied or not what a bout if my player come up with 4-0 pythons are out 3-1 we are tied so do u really think that default panel well give me 4-0 no rite 3-1 doubt it so think that's why is better that both teams decider this on the field

But why even think your player would deserve a 4 - 0 win from a default, from the information that i sent in from my player if you were to be awarded that i would eat my computer to be honest haha

No matter who wins it by default, it will be a hollow victory, won't it? I mean, great job to that clan, but they didn't really win by playing lol.

You could say that about any tight fixture that goes to default and a team wins it by a small margin, and to be fair they would win by playing as they have played all the other games. The people involved in the default have tried to get it played or not tried simple as really.

Sad though now as i see bazzacu who was in fact in the game before shortstop is now online. .

Everyone gets plenty of time to play games if you dont want games decided by default then get more reliable players but don't expect deadlines to be changed all the time it's wrong to do it...simple as that.

But the two captains don't seem to agree on an extension anyway, so we'll have a vote to see who goes through

Both teams had 2 weeks to get games played, i made a decision to extend the straight game by 24hrs as straight was down, and couldnt be played. The rest of the cup games should have been played, there was plenty of time, why leave it until deadline ? If an extension had been given , what is the point of having a deadline ? everyone knew the time and date the games needed to be played by so there is no excuse for it not to have been played.

Exactly what i was getting at through all of that, not in the same words but what i was getting at anyway.

As said decision was made, i stand by it and have done what i have been asked to send in, up to default panel now. Glad that is sorted.

So all current teams are aware :

1.6 Withdrawing clans
When a clan withdraws or is dissolved during a season all players in that clan are immediately considered free agents and may be signed by other clans at any time.

Players that were in Top Dogs, Wolf Pack or Mouseketeers clans are now considered free agents as these teams have folded or dissolved.These players, if signed and placed on the team changes thread before the new fixtures are released, will be eligible to play in the next FBL fixtures.

Quick question- I just went over the numbers and I have Fighting Eagles in first place with Pythons in second.
Pythons seem to have 1 bonus point set too many?

Right- I've found the source:

Apparently Pythons were given the completion bonus when their only default was a 5-1 win over the Fighting Eagles player (set 3).

Interesting decision lol.

Anyway, that's solved then (?!).....

After looking into this, and speaking to both captains involved,it has been decided that this default will be reopened, and 3 staff, who were not involved in the original default , will be repredicting on this game.

Agree with the above like i said i was not captain of Pythons at this time i was regular player so can't really help with the situation sadly.

Do you have any idea when the cup default will be announced at all? Will this run at the same time as the last set of fixtures, if so should i send my cup team list just in case default does go our way?

The default result will be announced friday pm , both teams will need to send me a teamlist for the cup final, and also a separate teamlist that can be used if the fixture goes to a draw (the format for the tie break games can be found the fbl website : rule 9.9)
Teamlists are to be sent to anoneeemouse by friday 3rd feb @ 8pm

This fixture has now been fully investigated, the results from an independent default panel are as follows :

fired_up_cue 1 v 5 slimeball - invalid game

default score now - colpepper 3 v 3 slimeball

colpepper 0 v 6 the_diamond - invalid game

default score now - langmanj 3 v 1 the_diamond

No bonus given for either team

The above is unbelievable to be honust.

For 1 re-open a default over 2 months after it was decided.?? ( default and runners had the chance to give a verdict)

Secondly the Captain of Fighting Eagles was issued a warning over his conduct towards the League runners after he was made aware he had made illegal subs via PM he choose to ignore (if i was to post the comments i would be looking at a ban or posting rights revoked)

The captain of Eagles had a chance to reverse the subs but choose to ignore the information he was given.

A player on the opposing team would expect the Captain of the other clan to do the correct subs as per the rules & then play their game.

So in this instance the Clan & Captain that messed up is actually rewarded for doing so with this change ????

Totally wrong and a injustice towards Pythons.

Also you cannot re-open a default and not give the full information from the original. That makes this look like it's either corrupt or favouritism to the guilty party.
