gg gl

it really doesn't make a difference you still play how you normally would it's not guna change the outcome.

I was playing a 9 Ball Billiards Tournament Finals and was playing an Amazing player whos ranking was 838 or something and there was a few balls left all easy pots and assumed he would clean up and win , So i said ( gg wp ) before the game ended and he missed a sitter such and easy shot was unreal and then blamed the miss on me by saying to 2-3 of his freinds that were watching ( Isnt there a thred about that ) and i did feel i had put this Guy off and felt bad about it but at the time i realy did think i had lost a the balls were perfect for an easy win ! But the thing that shocked me the most we was on the last frame and he leaves the room before i potted the final ball he never said Congrats or nothing i know what i find more anoying and its not some 1 saying gg wp before the end its the leaving the room before the final ball is down ! And not only did he leave but so did his freinds no a word congrats or nowt from any 1 of them ! so is calling "gg" before the game ends a bad thing ? should we or shouldnt we say it ? That is the question ! Dont hate the player hate the game hahahahahahaha !

You can say gg at anytime, but that should mean your conceding the frame as you believe you have lost.

It stinks when people say gg or wp whilst you're clearing up and the you miss but then they carry on!!

On snooker i was playing someone and said gg i'll flag (but only because he couldn't make a 50 break as there was only 35 on). Anyway, he missed an easy pot and i could still win as i was only 20 behind with 22 on but i still conceded as i had already said gg.

Too many dodgy players about.

(p.s i actually don't like saying gl at the start of a game lol, in real life i actually say good game to my opponent at the start of a match and at end of match i say well played if i lose or unlucky if i win)

the whole "gg wp" or "gg ul" thing annoys me people expect you to say it after every game and if you don't some get annoyed its just stupid tbh i say nice shot sometimes or nicely done or well done if they play good but am i really guna say "gg wp" after it's being a bad game and we have both played bad? err no lol...

people complaining about saying gg before then end i dont get,,, and no i dont do it .

however put ppl on ignore and open the window stops all bad feelings and yes its not great to do it ,,,,, but hey it takes the problem away

you have the tools to stop it already just use them

Nice to see people out there are still doing this, it really is so unsporting and a form of cheating in my eyes. Trying to gain advantage by putting your opponent off. The people who do this are a joke and shouldn't be pleased with winning in this way.

Have you ever typed in good game and had your finger on pressing enter but then actually accidentally pressed it right before. I have... but i don't say gg before on purpose. I used too say it sometimes, if the person was very good and really shouldn't miss. But then hey people have said it to me, and i suppose it could be a throw off.

I used to say it after every game, those were the first couple years lol. Now i say it if the player has played well, i will say "gg wp" or "gg ul" if they are unlucky.

If a couple of letters put you off in a game then you really need to look at your own game instead of finding excuses. In no way is this cheating.

Agree with eemad that you shouldnt be put off by folk putting gg but folk defo type it to put folk off (which is cheating). If you were playing real life in a league game and someone said gg mid shot then all hell would break lose.

I dont like the 'gg' been said before the end...... yet no-one minds when 'gs' is said... surely as off putting as one another?

There's a lot of psychological cons about saying "gg" before the game ends. Not to mention the frustration and pressure, when you miss on the last ball...wow, I could kill that guy saying "gg" before the 9 or 8 is potted.

That's how I tend to look at it. I wouldn't dare say Good Game during a frame in a pub. Every pub I've played in, as a matter of etiquette, it's always said after the game. That's what I'm used to and that's the way I was taught when first learning to play pool. Which is probably why I can be so easily put off by it at times.

Thats odd, because in real life I can rarely, if ever, recall saying "good game" after a game. Doing so in a pub would almost certainly start a fight!

Saying it during a game is relatively common and perfectly normal though, especially in safety battles. After all, it can be a good game halfway through and be a complete disaster by the end!

The real challenge lies... can you hold your nerve for that final shot?? Would you have missed it regardless?

Perhaps you already lined up your shot, read the text box then hit, you missed and apparently "gg" is to blame for this?

IF NOT, it's only a game and i don't think there's much need to take it so seriously.
