yeah this has been a problem for a number of years, i think nick was on about fixing it at some point.

What happens if there is a DQ DQ in the final....would there be no points or would it just be halved and would the semi finalists still get 5%???

your only saying that because your winning, if you was losing you would be complete opposite

looking at a previous semi DQ DQ the points were equally divided between the 3 semi finalists. Therefore I presume it would be a 25% split between all four players in semis.

No i wouldnt, this makes it more interesting and fun at the end of the night to see who will have the most points. It a bit of fun thats been added and is a cracker of an update.

Although i agree with the basis to which this was brought in, instead of people staying on one rank it's more like a yoyo effect now. It does make it more exciting but at the same time i can imagine getting fed up of getting to a certain point to lose it quite easliy if that makes sense. I just wonder if the points can be reduced a little or is this exactly what it's meant for?

This has been a cracking night and probably one of the best ive had on funky. Between me master_p00l and 17_m we have all been in contention of winning the bronze medal and matt ended up winning it by 12 points in the end. Congrats to him!

just got fluked against in fdirst game of 9 ball in tourny and lost 8.7 against i 678 its not even funny ! i think just come on after few beers with matesd and then lose 8.7 of an intermediate is just ridiculouse all tournies rankes is a joke !!!! i like the hole tourna points .. but ranked all tournies is a joke

all tournies ranked is just a silly idea a few ranked touurnies is no problem & fun ..... but all is too much !!

I do think there should be a few normal tourneys

But the rank structure should have bit of a tweaking
to me this has attracted a few more Players who have made 2nd accounts and taking rank for fun

I enjoyed last night winning the medal it went down to a 12 points!!! i think rubber_duck and 17_m will agree it was emmence at the end! a 3 way battle watching how you other oppnents how they were doing it made me enjoy funky like i used to but people are going moan when there losing and say this is the best when there winning looks like im stuck with it!

I completely agree,
I really don't see the point of giving tournaments such an importance when affording points in addition to wins and tournapoints.
Besides the horror of losing to flukes (for what 9ball is so famous around funkypool community) you don't have enough games with the same opponent when skill and experience may overcome flukes effect.
Another factor is time and location: not everybody can allocate a minimum an hour to be attached to funkypool and when u are not on the same continent you have only few players of rank available in the narrow time slot ( others are all in the tourneys ) so we have much less opportunities to play since this "Big Update"
But if you want to play just couple of games here and there, the points are almost useless and you may loose more points to daily deductions then you may gain with serious opponent.
I think that points allocation should remain as before plus maybe special bonuses to winners ( 1st and 2nd place).

i vote more non ranked tournies .... put half ranked and half not ranked ! anyone else ?

My suggestion mate is to avoid flukeball tournies like the plague and concentrate on the skill games.
