there was a young fella called fry,
who in 9 ball he did get a bye,
it can only be true,
that he wouldn't get thro',
and he'd end up a wreck and just cry!!!

Here is a requested poem, for a special birthday boy,
I'm hoping that this reaches him in special times of joy.
An old fogey now, some might say, but he's still in his prime,
Although we've spent some years on here, we have enjoyed our time.

Bounds of energy he really has, this young man from the south,
Where something funny arises, every time he opens his mouth.
We sometimes work as a tag-team, driving Paula up the wall,
Whether its because of where she lives, or because her feet are small!

I hope you take today Pete, to celebrate your date of birth,
Spending all your cash on booze, and for all that its worth:
I'd just like to say from all of us, your a big part of this site,
So I'll tip my hat, and raise my glass, for Pete's big birthday night.

been a while since i last wrote a rhyme
so here i am using my time
il write a poem just for you
just because i love you

Us

As the mountain dew settles, around our bare feet,
The birds chirp behind their leafy disguise.
I pull you in close to wrap you up in our sheet,
As we prepare to see the golden sun rise.

When the cool breeze whistles I feel you tighten your grip,
As you place your cold hand on my arm.
I give you my jumper, and fasten the zip,
Stoking the fire up to keep us from harm.

Then daybreak appears, and the sky turns so blue,
We shield our eyes from the almighty light.
You give me a smile, and in return I kiss you,
With a thanks for an excellent night.

The water is boiled, and the tea warms us up,
All is quiet, and the moment is ours.
You keep the heat in your face, from your steaming tea cup,
As the bee's start harassing the flowers.

The sun is now up, and you feel the warmth on your face,
As you entwine your fingers with mine.
Your lightest touch makes, my bursting heart race,
And for a moment, we're stuck in this time.

But this will never happen, cupid would have been too kind,
In my mind's eye this is how we could be!
But when you are fully sighted, but choose to be fully blind,
Then how are you expected to see?

The day was long and weary, i rose at 6 o'clock
Rushed off to work to begin the day
Not knowing what delights ahead may lay
But the same old routines and problems arose
Work the same as usual i suppose

Oh how i long to be in the position, with nothing to do
Not having to work for a living
I suppose it's the cry all over the land
Wishes of the lottery and what could be planned
But alas, my numbers did'nt appear
On my lottery ticket, i did'nt get to cheer

Oh well ! off to bed, set the alarm to arise
Maybe this Saturday, my numbers will win the prize....
