i cant seem to understand people talking about using tactics in a negative manner

hey alls good in the funky rule house

why is it people always want to change rules that work and work very well, the rules are well thought out.

who cares if you sub ppl in ... the aim of the game is to win,

i believe more fundamental things like wp and gg are things for discussion and being allowed to watch clan games and encouraging players. and both teams making contacting each other in a reasonable time.

we in the big shooter house have fun ,, most of the time , there always sems to be under currents regarding rules, they are there so follow them i have learned to
i have broken the big funky rules and have been banned for that im sorry, but if you reset or deacitivate why shouldnt you be stopped from playing ,, that was your choice so the rules are there to discourage it,

people resetting do it for the purpose of looking better nd gaining better ranks ... bit sad that but hey who am i to judge its your choice , again within the rules so hey hoo

For reference, here is the rule:


1.8 Quarantine for new signings

Only players (user names) who are registered for a clan at the time each fixture is published may play games in that fixture. Any player that joins the clan after this point is not eligible to play until the following set of fixtures. Note that this means players changing their user name are also not eligible to play until the next set of fixtures.

Not that it matters, the player ray is talking about is a month off being eligible to play

Started being discussed on FPB thread, so i thought it would be best to move it here

Would like to start an individuals league for those on the players waiting list so that instead of them waiting on there without any games and most never being picked then they could actually get to play games

At least some of them could prove themselves to be reliable and hopefully clans (at least div 2 clans or those in need of players) can snatch a few of them up at any time during the season

I know it would be much to ask for league runners to do this, but i have experience of running events myself and blackapple and mich have both offered their support


Just need league staff to give me permission and i could set up a website and find out the players still interested and get things rolling pretty quickly

We said we would also give owen a few friendlies and heres the result of me vs owen...

RESULT: 9 Ball Pool Friendly - mich (5) loses to best_pooler (2)

In the ones he lost he potted the whit and 9 together and rattled the 9 in one of them, just needs to take his time while shooting and he will win easy double what he does.

Me vs Owen at 9 ball ended 8-1 to me, but he missed a few 9's when close to run outs, and his game was a golden break

Rushing shots is a very common issue for the younger players - perfectly normal Nor is it really a problem in terms of league eligibility.


As for the "waiting" league I see no downsides to that what so ever.

What you probably want to give some thought though is how to handle the fact that the waiting list can be pretty dynamic - players going bye-bye and new ones being added to the list now and then. Probably best solved by keeping the league short or simply let players add / leave whenever necessary...

I would probably suggest trying to keep it to a certain number, and then create a waiting list, so that if a player leaves, another can be automatically subbed in to take place. So for instance is theres 25 players waiting for clans, make the league 20 person, have the other 5 on the waiting list as subs for any leavers that occur?

I dont think there will be that many, but what i suggested to mich was 2 fixtures a week (mich said that bit) and then if their is any gaps fill it with volunteers from clans

volunteers can change each week or whatever which would keep the numbers even and would also give clans an indication of where these players are allowing them to get a chance without really any impact on the leagues
