There's no doubt Nick is on the right track here, so it's worth us being a little more patient for the sake of a day or twos testing.

We will all benefit from this in the end no doubt, so i can't see the point of dismissing the effort so quickly until we can be sure it has no benefits in the long run!

I take it you didn't read most of the posts? Most of this thread is filled with people trying to help nick make improvements.

Suggestions for making it a feature to turn off or on isn't dissmissing the idea, it is giving nick more idea's he might not have thought about.

Back on topic, Nick it seems to me, from playing on the practice table, to affect me more when i play with a mouse than a touch pad, does that help you with anything?

The site has seen a few changes recently and, (in the main), people have been patient and understanding as creases are ironed out. The real problem with this particular feature is it flat-out cripples the game. (see screen grabs below).

Can anyone give me an indication of what possible benefits this particular feature has regarding gameplay, either now, or potentially in the future?
(Serious query, not simply trying to be contentious).

Imo feedback is always beneficial and should be encouraged. Sometime the feedback is "that's crap, lose it."

I'm afraid I'm the same.

I just lost a 6man killer because of it.

As a fairly experienced member of funkypool I don't see why it has been changed, it just is now soooooo sensitive, I just lost my last game due to it, I mean supposidly it is becuase your stroke isn't smooth enough however in real life your shot accuracy would just be decreased, it is very frustrating to have to replay your shot over and over.

The patch I added earlier wasn't working. This one should be a lot more like normal and hopefully you wont notice it at all (as it should be).

Not played much today, but I like the "lag detect" thing. It hasn't affected me much so far, and it might also cut down the amount of shots you hit that don't work properly (like when it barely moves, when you wanted it to go full power.) Anything to get rid of that...it cost me my first final a few days ago

OK, well lag detection is still on there but the filter is very low.

EDIT: It's still not quite there but it's playable now.

A vast improvement though, not a single "lag" msg encountered yet.

Thank you.

No chance you could tweak my gameplay is there?

Not sure if I'm merely imagining stuff or not, but can't help the feeling that cue/ball action is still a good deal more spiffy than it used to be (as in before adjusting the frame rate etc at all, not talking about only the latest patch)

for me- the balls are rapid unless you hit it really soft then they dont move hardly at all, the mid range has disappeared. Just seems real different even from this morning!

Ya know I was just thinking that..

It's either too hard or too soft, can't seem to get it right

Sorry nick but this change is a joke, it affects all shots and you cannot control power, it is a waste of time being here if it doesnt get fixed you wont be seeing me again. Sorry about the tone but is terrible.
