Change to animation code and investigating shot lag

Hi,
I've fine tuned the animation code to hopefully bring better slightly better performance. Basically the maximum FPS has been increased.
In addition some people occasionally had a reduced power when taking a shot (some call it lag). I hope this release will reduce the occurrence of this. However if you draw the cue back long and use a consistent stroke this should not occur. Please let me know if it improves things, or makes it worse.

Sorry nick but it has made my lag worse.
If i pull the cue back fully to take a hard shot its now started to lag and the cueball ends up travelling an inch or so..
I have the correct version of java installed so im clueless to why ive got extra lag

My lag is also worse i have to say. i did ask some of my opponents and they agreed.

To be honest, I have no idea what's changed
Everything seems exactly how it was (with no lag really), only usually get that if im running too much at one same time.

The only thing thats changed for me is the balls move quicker when you hit them, might take getting some used to i guess

What is your Java version (please be more specific than the correct one ?

Please be specific about what exactly has got worse. People use lag to mean many different things!
I'm trying to make the game run smoother for everyone, decent feedback is the only way I can do this.

Just been playing smithbit in 9ball and i have never had so much lag! And i only have funkypool windows up. It cost me like 4/5 games grr!

Well nick, when i was playing yesterday the balls seemed to be rolling faster, now when im playing today its a lot slower and seems to be stopping every little bit and then carrying on then stopping, this is every shot, i have checked my java and have updated to the latest, this was last week! Id prefer the balls moving faster and smoother other than slow and welll... not smooth!

Well the lag started today, but the balls moving smoother and faster started a couple of days a go not sure what day, there was a thread made about it though!

It's not looking like it should be kept, no!
I have never experienced lag (as in loss of power) so I'm a bit lost how to cure it. Do you use a long cue stroke?

Errr.. do you drag the cue back much before taking the shot, and if so how far?
