Perhaps a few tenths - never by a full few seconds.
More medals today - am getting used to this!

I think he could break the world record but he might possibly be using his brain to just take bits off of the world records one by one, gaining a pocketful of cash every time! I'm sure when he returns he will be offered millions by sponsors to break the world record, so maybe he will go flat out soon.
Anyone think he should take on the 400m?
I would love to see him do it. He seems more than capable and it would be very interesting to see if he could get close to Johnson's record.
Well done Britain, 3rd place is looking very good indeed

That was very very good. The way that Johnson was acting/reacting, he thought the record would never go.
Well done Natash Danvers, excellent race and done Britain proud

Anyone been thinking that Bolt might be on drugs? Either that, or he just really is the best sprinter around. Or both.

I don't see how he can be on drugs. He's been tested for the past two weeks - over 30 blood samples taken since the start of the Olympics (from both him and Powell.)
He'll be tested again no doubt. A female Ukrainian athlete has tested positive, one of the heptathlon medal winners. I think alot of the girls, including Sexy Southerton, will be very disappointed with her. Funny thing is she'd already been done once for taking PEDs. Had she been British she wouldn't have made it to the Olympics - personally I think she should be banned from any competition, life over IMO! People like her make a mockery of the sport and its competitors.
Well done Oghurugh and Danvers for their efforts. I really screamed as Oghurugh in the last 100 metres!!

So that means Sotherton is now placed 4th? Unlucky
I reckon Belgium's football team will end fourth as well, and we don't even have a medal yet

I stayed up a long time to watch the 10k open water this morning, and I must say I was very impressed. The difficulty of that event is immense, and to see David Davies at the end, the effort he put in and pain he went through was admirable. Deserved his silver for sure, unlucky not to get the gold he was the best swimmer just not the best tactician.
Take my hat off to the Dutch swimmer, successfully fought leukemia 6 years ago and it's alway nice to have stories like this in the Olympics, or any event where someone can achieve their dream after such illness..
Well done indeed!
