Saints deserved it. Rangers were rotten yesterday.
I hope the saints get a second chance within the next season or 2.

We'll win it next year
In truth, a large part of it will be if we stay up this season. The defeat yesterday is a huge blow to the players, and Gus will have a tough job getting the players back on their feet - especially considering we have to play Celtic on Wednesday, and then we have the long trip to Aberdeen on Saturday. I fear that the players may struggle to get over it, and that'll lead to us going down.
On the other hand, if Gus manages to get their heads back into the game, and get a win over Celtic on Wednesday, it could well be what's needed to give the team a boot up the backside and push away from Falkirk. We may only be three points clear of Falkirk, but we are only three points behind 9th placed Hamilton. It's all to play for.
I fear a 3-0 defeat on Wednesday though, Robbie Keane amongst the goals. A win would be great though, especially considering the Celtic fans are laughing at us for losing to nine men - how amazing it would be if they lost to the team that just lost to nine men
Ach well, c'mon the Buddies. Whether they stay up, go down, or lose ten consecutive finals, I'll still be following them. We had a good cup run, from Ochilview in August to Hampden yesterday. We'll be back there...in 30 years time probably

Rangers were absolutely hopeless tonight, Walter Smith showing a GREAT team selection.
I really can't understand why he insists on playing the likes of Wilson, Fleck and Little on a game as big as this, it just doesn't make sense, considering he has the likes of Novo, Boyd and Miller on the bench!!!!
What's he playing at?
Oh well, trebles off, had a feeling it would have as soon as i saw the team line up, didn't even bother watching the game till the last 5 mins.
On the other side:
What a great result for St Mirren tonight!!! Gubbing the Celtic 4 goals to ZILCH!!
No one's done that in a good while, so congratulations to them (hope it numbs the pain of Sunday Yoda)

Tonight in the SPL:
St Mirren thrash Celtic 4-0 :o
I am surprised, great result for St Mirren
And also in Scottish Football:
Rangers treble dreams ended by Dundee United
Old Firm losing tonight against non-Old Firm teams. Is the tide turning in Scottish football?

No. Simple.
I think complacency has been on both teams, but i don't feel the tide is turning....
....yet.

Agreed.
Dundee are no pushover, and i've always seen them as that team that can cause problems.

I'm over the moon with the win tonight. 4-0 against Celtic! Seriously! How?
In Gus' tenure as Saints manager, I think we've only scored four goals in a league game twice, home to Ayr United when we won 4-1 (ironically my first ever Saints game), and a 4-0 up at Ross County. This is our fourth season in the SPL, and we've only scored three goals in an SPL match four times, three against Motherwell and one against Falkirk. To finally hit four is one thing, to do it against Celtic...it's amazing.
The best thing is, it's the highest league win I've seen from us the only better result I've seen was a 7-0 humping of Dumbarton.
Proud of the team, and Gus. They picked themselves up from Sunday's disappointment, and turned out a stunning result which you just don't see any more. Every player played their part, Andy Dorman found his scoring touch again, Steven Thomson kept his shots on target, and boom, 4-0. What an amazing night, I couldn't believe what was happening.
Epic night, certainly relieves some of the disappointment from Sunday. This is why it's great to support a side outside of the old firm - when the seemingly impossible happens, it's just amazing.
Also, a big well done to Dundee United - our win has certainly left them not getting the credit they deserve.
PROUD TO BE A BUDDIE!

Good news for Celtic fans:
Mowbray has been sacked
Just 17 league wins out of 30 league games, not good enough for a club of Celtic's stature. Neil Lennon will take charge for the game on Saturday against Kilmarnock

The first goal was scored by Dorman,
The second by Steven Thomson
And the third goal was scored by Dorman again,
The fourth from Thomson too.
No goals were scored by Celtic,
Four-nil the final score,
And you couldn't, hear, the Soldier's Song,
For When The Saints Go Marching In.
OH WHEN THE SAINTS, GO MARCHING IN, OH WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN,
I WANT TO BE, IN THAT NUMBER,
OH WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN!
Still amazed at what happened
Back to reality tomorrow, long trip up to Aberdeen. Meeting up with my mates at 8.30am, early time to get up
Knowing that we are St Mirren, I guarantee we will lose this one, because we've just pumped Celtic. Still, 4-0
