Yup Rob
Falkirk only have themselves to blame. Right before half time Chris Innes got sent off for a headbutt, Falkirk were given a penalty even though it was off the ball (Willie Collum hates us, useless excuse for a referee...), 1-0 right before half time. Falkirk didn't take advantage of this, we held on and Stephen O'Donnell knocks in a header at the back post on 86 minutes, sending us bloody wild! Some of the fans broke the ad boards at the front
We were cramped at the back of the stand, I was sharing two seats with four people. We stood for most of the game though.
Just glad it's done, especially after going down to ten men. Talk about a lack of consistency from the referee though, Collum is the same one who felt Artur Boruc's flykick on Craig Dargo and Allan Combe's awful challenge on Dargo were only worth yellow cards, so in his book surely a headbutt is only a yellow as well? No complaints about the red card, it was stupid by Chris, but Collum is awful.
We can still go down, but it's an even more drastic situation than last time where we had to lose to Hamilton Accies 3-0.
Basically, Kilmarnock and Falkirk both need to win midweek, with us losing. We'd need to lose about 7-0 to Hamilton, Killie would need to win 5-0, and Falkirk 8-0 to get the goal differences up. We have to lose both our last games, and then Killie and Falkirk would have to draw on final day.
We are (nearly) staying up!

Neil Lennon appointed as Celtic manager.
How painful must've that been for Lawell, i don't think he likes him but at the same time he knows the team.

Hmm i'm not so "certain", He seems like a decent manager. Should be another tough season for Rangers and Celtic.

Been a while since there's been a post on this thread...
Since last time, St Mirren have now turned into Cowdenbeath. Ex-Cowden manager Danny Lennon has signed Paul McQuade, Darren McGregor, Paul Bradley and Gareth Wardlaw all from Cowdenbeath, along with Ayr United 'keeper Craig Samson. We've also signed some guy on loan from Watford called Jure Travner, and re-signed David van Zanten, who was great with us until he left.
Meanwhile we've lost 'keepers Mark Howard (</3), Chris Smith, and best players Billy Mehmet and Andy Dorman, all replaced by 2nd Division players.
Can someone please tell Danny Lennon we're in the bloody SPL? We're the laughing stock of Scottish football right now!

It's all about money. Rangers couldn't afford to pay what he was wanting, so he simply went to a club that could.
Also, he probably realises that there is a good chance playing in the Premiership in the future, either with Middlesbrough or another club.

In all fairness all the so called "big names" can leave all they want, they obviously think they are higher than their club and it mixes it up for other teams too.
At the end of the day, i couldn't care less if the likes of Boyd, McGregor or McGeady or Boruc leave their clubs. The football will still be as good as ever.

It's a shame Boruc has left. His comical errors time and time again were really entertaining, especially when combined with Celtic fans still claiming he was the best 'keeper in the league/world and it was just a blip. He's been horrific since the end of Euro 2008 and Celtic are lucky a team bothered to pay €2m for him, I wouldn't take him at St Cowden.
We had our first friendly tonight away to Ayr United, 3-1 win for the Cowdenmirren. Michael Higdon scored after four minutes, Ayr equalized on 30 mins. We changed our entire squad at half time (it was hilarious seeing 11 guys come out of the changing rooms on 40 mins to warm up next to the goal, because you usually only see 3 players warming up there).
Trialist Stephen Glass (released by 1st Division Dunfermline, nice one Danny...) scored from 25-30 yards into an empty net after the Ayr 'keeper had to run out to make a tackle on someone else, and John Potter scored for the first time in about 5 or 6 years right at the end, after a comical moment which resulted in Potter missing a volley, somehow keeping the ball at his feet and finishing at the second attempt.
It was an odd game. We had a good few trialists playing, along with the new guys we've signed plus the few players we had left. Couldn't tell you who most of the 22 players were.
Next up, Dumbarton away on Monday.

some premier league clubs we're after him, i heard west ham and someone else i believe
i think he's scared of the top division. he'll do well in the championship though cuz it's pretty much the same standard as the SPL. actually i'd be pushed to say the championship is slightly better

Motherwell playing "insert random Icelandic team here" tonight.
I beleive they are taking a 1-0 lead into the game so a perfect start for them.

So how many Games did Celtic win in Pre Season?
If this is what they are going to play like pre season...what about during season?

Well I think September will give an early indication as they have a lot of tough games against regular top six finishers (Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Hearts and Hibs).
I'm not too sure that Lennon is the right man for the job, given that he has no experience. And some of the things he said after the Braga game were very strange considering the overall result.

Well i think Lennon was the only choice available to them, no one was really interested apart from him.
I'm sure the Celtic board will be getting him nice n cheap, then eventually sacking him for someone more suitable.

Rangers are looking to take Vladimir Weiss on a season-long loan from Manchester City. This looks like a good move, if it goes ahead
Edit: There are rumours that Jelavic is in Ibrox this evening to finally complete his move to Rangers. So hope this is true
