Yes. Keano indeed...
Can't help but be a little concerned about Rangers playing Hibs tomorrow, a run of poor display coming up against a team that's keeping right up with the title chase (believe it or not!).
I'm therefore predicting a 2-0 win to hibbies.
It's going to happen at one point!

Well well well...
Looks like Rangers got away with it this weekend! Celtic restore their lovely gap by getting held back by Aberdeen.
10 Points with about 11/12 games to go, both of which are old firms!
Robbie Keane can flip n celebrate all he wants but he's not going to win you's a game...
Only 4 points from a possible 9...Mowbray must stay!!

Ranger's were lucky last night and that's comng from a Teddy Bear fan.
They need to buck up there idea's to beat st mirren in the final, or we will lose st mirren have nothing to lose they will go all out on the night, they lose so what they get couple of extra million in there bank account.
Rangers have SPL Title it's a done deal, Celtc are playing bad football and Hibs suffered a bad defeat against st johnstone. There motivation must be at 0% right now.
Hibs for second place :)

I was gutted at the result on Wednesday night, I really enjoy the cups. Doesn't help it was a late goal, we've suffered four of these recently, against Hibs, Dundee United (twice) and Rangers, denying us wins and draws.
Two Scottish Cups in a row we've been knocked out by Rangers. I'll be on a real downer if we lose the final, three cups in a row losing to them, and the fact that this is the first major final I'll have been to, wont help.
Ah well, c'mon the Buddies!
1-1 draw at Kilmarnock today, it's an average result, could be worse, could be better. magnificent goal from Billy Mehmet for his 13th (in all competitions), beating last season's tally of 12 well done Billy!

maybe if you didnt play with 10 men behind the ball this statistic would be different

Doesn't everyone play ten men behind the ball at Ibrox though?
Another trip to Ibrox on Saturday think I'll spend my money on new football boots instead, I hate going to Parkhead/Ibrox.

Great match for the gers yesterday, for once Rangers actually dominated the whole match!
Everyone claims the title is as good as done...
...I don't like to say untill it's won.

Apparently Celtic have now complained about Falkirk's pitch
Even though, 1) they haven't played the match yet, and 2) Aberdeen, Hibs, Killie and M'Well aren't any better.

Still trying to find excuses in case they get beat.
Scary moment for the Gers on Saturday, St mirren scoring the first goal, to me this sends a message that they will be roaring and ready for The cup final.

I've yet to see our goal but I'm amazed we scored from a free kick. That must be the first time in years.
I hope we give it our all in the final, but the worrying thing is how good a record at Hampden Rangers have. Their players will know exactly how to deal with a cup final, whereas this is a first time for many of our players. It's not often the OF are beaten in a final, hopefully we can change that on the day.
We play Motherwell on Tuesday, and I assume Rangers are playing midweek as well to fill in for the cup final weekend. Then we have a very exciting match away to Hamilton Accies, which is guaranteed to be massively entertaining, perhaps even better than anything we've ever seen.

Heart stopper for Rangers today, back line were all over the place and Dundee Utd were in the mood to take it from us.
3-3 Final score.

The refereeing performance was awful in that game. Neither Rangers penalties should have been given. Dusan Pernis got his hand to the ball in the first incident. The second one, Boyd went down way too easily. St Mirren fans see much worse on Michael Higdon every week, and I'm sure the majority of football fans can say the same about their strikers.
Anyway, can't wait till Sunday. League Cup Final, COME ON YE SAINTS!!!

Can't believe it. Just your typical Old Firm vs Non-Old Firm final. We dominated it for most of the game, but we didn't take our chances. Rangers showed exactly why the Old Firm win so many trophies, they took their chance when they got it.
The most sickening thing is how Rangers went down to nine men and still won. They were there for the taking, we cracked the bar, missed sitters, forced saves, had chances cleared off the line, whereas Rangers didn't do much at all.
We had to win five games to get here compared to Rangers' three, knocking out three SPL clubs along the way. We had an entertaining 6-3 win over East Stirling, 2-0 away to Ayr, a 2-1 win away to Kilmarnock on my birthday, we pumped Motherwell 3-0 , and beat Hearts 1-0 in the semis. Just to pick up a few medals in the end. It's devastating, we wont get a better chance to win a cup for years.
The main thing is we gave it a right good go. The guys did their best, and they themselves will be hurting badly. Some of them wont get another chance to win a cup. Might affect our season too, they'll have a hard job picking themselves up from this.
Also, a lot of credit has to go to Craig Thompson. Most referees would have bottled one red card, never mind producing a second red to Rangers. Kevin Thomson's tackle was a complete disgrace and he was rightly sent off. Danny WIlson's denied a goalscoring opportunity, and he was also rightly sent off.

Typical Old Firm?
Yes Mirren played very well on the day but Rangers won and that's just the way football is.

It is typical of the Old Firm though. Most of the time, it's their opponents who are the better side in a cup final (St Mirren today, Falkirk last season, Dundee United/QOTS before that etc). However, the difference is that these sides fail to take their chances when they get them. The Old Firm don't need to play well to win a game, because they are able to do the one thing that matters at the end of the day - put the ball in the goal.
This is what I feared today, and I was right. I expected us to either get humped, or to outplay Rangers, fail to take our opportunities, resulting in a sucker punch from Rangers. Which is exactly what happened. And the thing is, it doesn't matter how well you play if you don't score. This is the reason the OF nearly always win the two cup competitions - because they can play badly, but they get the goal that's needed to get them through. Something the rest of the sides can't do.
