Hi all,

It has been brought to my attention that many users are pulling out or not signing up on the grounds that the league contains the gametype golf.

This was included as an addition to the 3 standard pool games to make the league more unique and to add even more fun to the league as it's a well known fact that only something like 30% of us are actually able to play it!

Due to the amount of complaints/resignations, I have been forced to reconsider my decision on having golf in the game.
Personally I would like to keep it in there. However, I have created the league not just for myself, but for the participants as well

I do not want to include something that no one else will like, which is why I would like to ask one question.

Should I keep golf or get rid of it?

Please consider both sides and decide whether I should keep it or get rid of it. The feedback received on this will decide the future of Nicknax's Funkypool League.

Get rid of it.

You know the players that are going to get 9,10,11's and the ones that will be more 19,20,21's. Stops it being fair competition.

id love to see it gotten rid of, not really a "pool" game, is it? plus im useless at it

In golf, you can't directly affect what happens to your opponent like you can in pool. However, all 4 games in one league isn't too common. I'll keep playing in the league whatever happens.

For anyone who hasn't seen the newspost on nick's site, golf is no longer in the league, just the 3 types of pool. Let's get some games played!

I must say i am disappointed that golf has been removed, it made the league unique and more interesting. I understand that nax is trying to keep everyone happy, however people would/should of been aware that golf was part of the fixtures when they joined the league

how do ya know if people are cheating or not....just playin some mini golf and just sayin they got what ever there highest score is....

probably a way around this but im happy to go without n e ways

I really want to have this. Even if you play golf and lose it, you still get 1 point! If people don't want to play golf, that's their choice but they would be at a natural disadvantage.

If you're for this, please say and I can implement it

I have spoken to my updater team and it has been decided that if the gametype is not compulsory, then users will be rather 'choosy' about who they play.

We do not want this, it is only for fun, which is why we would like all users to decide whether we have golf or whether we don't.

Golf either takes place or it doesn't, there's no in between.

At 6pm tomorrow evening, a decision will be made, whether to have golf in the league or whether to leave it out.
The golf was the only thing that made this league different and added a twist to it.

If you could post your view here, it would then help us make the decision.

Firstly, I don't understand why you want your league to be unique, from speaking to people who participated in Season One it was a success, why change it and bring in a game type that is as controversial as mini-golf? Splits almost all the users on the site in two, between those that love it and those that hate it, so was always going to raise a certain amount of controversy.

Although I'm not keen on mini-golf, I'm still happy participating in the league with or without mini-golf.

I didn't realise golf wasn't included in season 1 (I've only been around for about a week). Thanks for replying colins, hopefully more people will have their say and we can get this sorted out soon I agree that mini-golf on here is a lot like Marmite...

I don't think golf was included. That's why I said why change and add it to an already successful league.

I'm not a big golfer, but I don't mind playing, so I'm easy.
