With memories of past times gone
a runner in the race
now sadly it has been too long
and i must leave this place
a lack of trust a lack of faith
surrounds me now in hate
and so i must depart from here
to set the balance straight
with joy and laughter friendships made
ill take them as i go
and as the past begins to fade
i pray that you all know
the times i spent amongst you all
were blissful as it comes
but through the hate the rope of love
unravelled now undone
with heavy heart i write this piece
to leave somthing behind
to let you know the reasons why
such thoughts were on my mind
do this i must in order to
give back the things you had
and sacrafice the friends ive made
to make these haters glad
as stupid as this seems to you
the whispers reach my ears
and slowley drive me crazy
as the fog of the past clears
and so this gift i give to them
to make their happy day

Its times like this, when you sit down and think
You look back on life, and pour yourself another drink
And wonder why people, have to suffer so much
When all they have done, is reach out and touch
You just sit there helpless, and you can't do a thing

It is not a nice feeling, when someone you know
Gives you really bad news, that's a really bad blow
But as long as they know, that you are there for them all
They will keep on fighting, and get though that wall
But we have to have faith, they will get through all this

Dusting off the fingers

Its been such along time, since this exercise,
Where I would write poems about our great times.
So since it has been so long, please excuse this post,
As it seems in this forum I'm a very old ghost.
Well off comes the dust from these fingers of mine,
I'm finding it troublesome already - to think of a line.
It is strange to comprehend all the poems we wrote,
About holidays, and situations, and on people we dote.
Like an addictive drug, I'm back here for more,
And can only hope I'm as good as before.
Its always hard to write, on your first trip back here,
It would be too inappropriate to simply converse about beer.
So maybe I'll post another, and try to explain,
About why I spend such time away, and then come back again.
But you'll have to wait for that one, it needs to be good,
I would like it to be great, as it really should.

Luv that poem

A length too far

It felt so familiar, but a little bit coy,
Like the brand-new nervousness when a girl meets boy.
The old butterflies, that weren't felt for a while,
And her pretty blue eyes that just made me smile.
Only a few months we'd been knocking around,
Meeting through friends, and going round town.
Way out of my league, at least thats what I thought,
But suddenly one day, in her net I was caught.
Seductive deep eyes, a trim figure to boot,
Cupid was on call, and an arrow he did shoot.
Not so out-spoken, mysterious and withdrawn,
Not in a bad way, as if she was forlorn.
Anyways the time we had was short lived,
But not to our faults, we gave it all we could give.
It will be a long time til we meet again, I think of her some days,
I think of the chase that wanted, and the games that we played.
So all I can do, is let time take its toll,
Until then I just wonder, and let the summer days roll.

Title is: Short Hair!!!

Short Hair

Been back a day, and people have given thought,
About how I look different, now my hair is short.
So here are the reasons, why i had the cut,
Apart from the obvious, of being a male Sl*t;
For one, it is easy to fix after a shower,
I can now get dressed and ready in well under an hour!
Its better for summer, it looks pretty neat,
It makes all the girlies fall right at my feet!
Cut for a tenner, student prices of course,
I run the wax through my hair with magnificent force.
Then I touch up the tips, with a slight bit of gel,
No more bad hair days, no more going through hell.
And then for the hairspray, we cant risk a fault,
Remember to take all this, with a pinch of salt.
Then I venture outside, and feel the wind on my head,
If my hair was long, I'd of stayed in instead.
Short hair is brilliant, I love it the most,
And that is the reason for this afternoons post!

Long Hair

My hair is long, has been for a while
Rock chicks dig it, which then makes me smile
It blows in the wind or gets tied back
i dont use gels or colours or any other crap
its lush and blonde and wavy and thick
great for headbanging and the odd party trick

I wont be a Francis Rossi, who looks a tool
long hair over a bald bit, is just not cool
one day it will get cut, but not just yet
when im going bald, ill shave it for a bet
ill raise money for a good cause, when iam ready
maybe for pudsey, the children in need teddy.
