Today Pt 2
Just home from work, and feeling shattered
I feel as if, i've been beaten and battered
Been a really hard day, believe it or not
This weather don't help, it's so bloody hot
But we struggle on, to get the job done
So we can get home, and have some fun
Maybe a drink, thank you, you're so kind
Can't think of a better way to unwind
Now it's time to take the dog for a walk
Bump into the neighbours, and have a good talk
Hello, good evening, and how are you
Do I mind popping over, just for a brew
But I have to get back, so I must decline
Someone special is waiting for me, that's On-Line
She knows who she is, she's been waiting all day

The Demise of Funkypool

I remember a great site named Funkypool
A haven i visited whilst bored at school
There was always someone having a joke and a laugh
No strict rules to obstruct one's path
Have a look back to the first pages of the forum
People didn't have any level of decorum
The freedom of speech! You could say what you desired
The honesty, the debates, was what i admired
The ability to express yourself without having to abide
by the 50 million rules that have now been applied
so much more strongly than ever before
getting stronger and stronger, more rules to implore
now dont get me wrong, I love funkypool to the core!
I just cant help remembering... what was before

I'm lying here upon my bed
Diff thoughts run thru my head
Was only trying to be polite
I didnt mean to cause a fight
All's id said was you go talk
But ya made me feel like a dork
An innocent comment had backfired
Leaving me all stressed and wired
Argue was what i didnt want to do
I wanted to walk away from you
But things got sed and on it went
Thats how our conversation was spent
So thats another day gone to waste
All cos things got sed in haste
It always goes that extra yard
Maybe we just both try too hard
Will having a break or slowing down
Leave me ok or with a frown
I really dont know what to do
Thats for the best for me OR you
The ONE thing that i know for sure
Is I'll feel you close forever more
Like i have right from the start
Since that very day you stole my heart.

to just pass time
to put down in words
what's going thru my mind
confused, bored, happy, sad,
anything from completely good to bad
it's not silly,
it's not a waste,
it's a way of remembering moments
