You have to do it within the three (or five or even ten - whatever was decided on) consecutive fouls you would get.

The play would be to foul it back or to play a black-stripe-solid combo for an intentional foul that leaves black and stripe tied up. You shouldn't lose, it's effectively a tie.
If he fouls the hanging one, he's effectively dead. You place the cue ball on the left of your ball and hit it so the black rolls down the table and you leave it safe along the cushion. Easy win unless he flukes.
This is an image of the type of deliberate foul that I find really annoying, the worst if you like.

I think most people are in favour of keeping game rules as close as its possible to get to the real games.
Nobody got any thoughts on the free ball?

And I'm with chris (without having read everything said here). An automatic reset after a set amount of fouls would be the best solution.

Not everywhere plays the same rules though, for example I play the free ball after a foul in my league, whereas you or somebody else may not.
Nobody got any thoughts on the free ball?

There are variations but there are also Standard Rules - for example WPA Rules - which I think are the ones falled back on here.

So you can't please everybody, or play to rules everybody is familiar with. So I don't think it matters what rules are used.

At the end of the day no matter how much discussions we have about it or what could be better its not going to change it

I think its the opposite personally - you fall back on Standard Rules because you cant please everyone that plays to variations.

I agree, but I'm just putting my opinions across. Nothing is going to get changed so let's keep it as it is. Nothing is considered from minnows such as us anyway.

wouldn't say that as i came up with the idea of minimising pms so people aren't put off and it got implemented so theres a little glimmer of hope but not very much unless the higher power decides to post

I came up with the simple idea of making links on this website open in a new tab when you click them (because it's annoying when you click one of the league's websites but want to stay on a forum aswell). Didn't even get a reply or someone's opinion. Probably because I posted it.

So true , Its true that the minors on here dont get listened too , Or get agreed with ... If someone known had of posted this then people will have agreed!
