Anyone want odds of Hamilton being promoted to win the Australian GP?

I doubt they will DQ Brawn, Williams and Toyota now as that will mean they will award Hamilton a win, and they can't do that can they?

Now that WOULD cause controversy...

They wouldn't even if there were reasons to do so. We've yet to see any FIA ruling in his favor this far

I wonder if the Polo and Tie were disappointed that Button won the race

Out of the whole race the only mistake that race control made was not penalizing Barra, he crashed into webber which took out 2 or 3 other drivers, he was wreckless because he got a bad start!

Didn't someone hit him, causing him to go in to them though?

If anything he would of been done for the Kimi shunt.

I'll be surprised if Vettel isn't fined, I forgot at the time but he tried to finish the race - which of course in a broken car to that extent is against FIA rules, and was in fact rather dangerous.

I'm with Jan on the whole ruling thing. The FIA in most cases should leave them to race - unless a clear incident where you can see a driver has 'cheated' to gain an advantage (youtube Schumacher for great examples) you've got to leave the cars to go for it!

LOL on the Hamilton thing!!

RBR have been fined £35,000 or somet for telling him to continue. They were fined at the same time they gave Vettel the 10 place penalty

More newbish and ignorant mistake than the all too common, vicious attitude problems he used to demonstrate. As such, this example doesn't do him justice at all - he was much worse.

He got tagged from behind - and thus innocent in that crash.

dr, remember what he did to Damon Hill in Australia in 1994? It worked in 1994, knocked Hill out, and he got away with it :|

He got DQed for that incident with Jacques Villeneuve

I know Mr McQuiston, but isn't it ironic that FIA only penalise Ferrari when they have lost. Why wasn't he DQed in 1994 for hitting Hill off?

Was it because it worked that time and won him the championship?

Like with Massa last season, why wasn't he penalised in Valencia, was it because he won the race? Penalised in the other race after the fuel pump wrecked his race anyway.

EDIT: When I say DQed in 1997, I mean from the overall championship, not just that race

I think the fine and penalty for that is fair enough, him staying out on track caused a hazzad to other drivers.

These 'small' teams have a lot to learn if they think they can pull Ferrari type stunts and get away with it!

He technically didn't hit hill off in 1994, Schumachers car was damaged on the side and rear wheel, Hill went in the inside, Schumy with his broken car was hit and went up on two wheels.

Schumachers fault? or Hill being a bit impatient? or maybe Schumachers car wasn't responding as well as Hills.

We'll never know.

Think the telementary shows that Schumi turned in on Hill in that incident, just like he turned in on Villeneuve
