Button indeed won in Hungary 2006, the race where Schumacher tried to knock everyone off and Alonso crashed out. Was his first win in 113 GP starts. Hopefully number 2 will happen now.

Thing about that Hungary GP, Button started 13th. lol

Can Brawn win in their first ever race, locked out the front row, so so far so good

The second half of the 2006 season, Button got more points than anyone else, so he can do it with a decent car under him but can't see the bigger teams letting Brawn GP have their own way too long, plus I think the biggest factor that has not been considered is reliability for the Brawn team, they've not had long to test the car thoroughly so that could come into play but we'll see, would be brilliant if they got the 1 2, but not long now to find out

Such a shame for Vettel and Kubica, i feel Kubica was partly to blame, hardly gave Vettel any space on the entrance!

Great win for Button, well deserved and hope to see him in the title race this time.

Button would have been relieved, imagine his response to the radio call telling him that Kubica and Vettel had taken each other out!

What a race! Super Button - Super Brawn!

Full of incident and over-taking.

Superb drive from Button, I would normally hate to say I told you so... however I'm not. Button proving why I've been saying for the past 5 years he's one of the best on the paddock!

Unlucky Vettle and Kubica, one of those 50/50 incidents where you can't really say which driver is in the wrong/right. Vettle is going to be a future start no doubt, he'll have to learn when to take points and when to go for it though IMO.

Trulli and Hamilton both doing well out of the incidents, as you'd expect.

Unlucky Ferrari! (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - I know it's ungracious, but I've had to put up with Ferrari dominence for half my F1 viewing life).

Piquet and Nakajima once again proving there's more worthy people who belong in the cars!

All-in-all, a great start to the season. Lets hope it stays this way with the racing, any team could win it this year!

It's going to be weird, there's no back markers, they are at the front!!

Horrid start to the season again for Ferrari, not too good for McLaren either to be honest.

Singapore is a Ferrari track anyway...ha!

PS - did anyone else get all excited to the intro to the show? Or am i just not cool?

Not too much of a race really, but my oh my how interesting team balance is going to be this season.

Brawn most obviously wont keep their edge for long, but just how long will it take ferrari and mclaren to get back up there? And just how long will it take brawn, toyota and williams to dwindle back to the mediocre teams they really are? And how messed up will the championship tables look by that time?

One word: FUN!

Just need even more racing and this will be great!

And what a pity for Vettel... They both deserved better, but imo, Kubica caused it - at least more so than Vettel, although this clearly goes down as a racing incident and is by-gones already.

And while I'm very happy for Hammy, there's no denying he got lucky as hell today. Getting away with a 4th is way more than the performance would normally suggest. Might prove critical later on too, as both ferraris DNFed

I personally think that KERS is a waste of time, why dont that try and include a thing like power boost like the A1 GP, u have 3 of them in a race!

The entire idea behind KERS is to make F1 actively contribute to development of environmentally related car technologies - if nothing else, at least on paper and for show.

KERS adds yet another dimension for drivers to contend with - hence I like it. It is a great boost for overtaking, then again can be used very well defensively too, like demonstrated so well by Alonso today.

Technically, Kubica is allowed to close that line since he is, by FIA definition, "ahead". It's still a quite stupid thing to do tho, since in 99% of the cases, the inner driver won't have any means at all to avoid impact... Braking when both cars already on the limit = understeer into the outer car.... trying to turn in even further = loss of grip -> understeer -> impact. Nothing Vettel could have done there, short of being a bit more passive at an earlier stage.

Most of all, Kubica disappointed me because this is a newbie mistake he should know better than doing. He was massively faster than Vettel and had another three full rounds to perform a clean pass.

It does make the racing interesting, but the added weight dimension, is a killer for the likes of webber who is taller and heavier.

Omg, Omg, Omg, That's why I LOVE the start of the race!! The multi-million pound cars getting all caught up, spun around and shattering into pieces!!

NOTE: Childish I know, but it makes the start waaaaay more interesting

Regarding KERS, it may have been more interesting if there was a larger limit on the power/time.

Instead Of 80bhp for 6.2 seconds, Something like 150bhp

HAHA!!! That race was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome!!!

I was practically at the edge of my seat for the whole race staring at the TV with utmost awe...

Everyone know Trulli was penalised for overtaking under the safety car so had a 25 second penalty incurred? He ended up out of the points so Hamilton came 3rd...
