I think that so far, the Ferrari is the best looking of the 2009 cars.

I like the Williams, it looks smart and simplistic.

I don't like the Renault with its too wide nose. Its weird not having a clue which car is going to be fastest lol

They will all have a wide nose - since it's allowed and makes sense aero-dynamically.

And yes - it's going to be interesting to say the least, to see who ends up where on the ladder after implementing such huge changes.

Again - this is the largest set of rule changes from one season to another in the history of the sport, so this could stir up the team power balances quite a bit.

And regardless of that - it hopefully will go a long way in terms of making the sport more fun to watch. Less down force, more mechanical grip as well as KERS all contribute toward making overtaking and close racing not only more possible but far more common.

Attacking will get easier - defending will get harder.

I just saw the new Ferrari car it looks really odd and not very nice looking, at least it will stand out.

Doubt it will stand out that much - it's the basic look all 2009 cars will have.

Because the rules are extremely strict now, you will most likely see less difference in car design between teams than ever.

Renault is the only team so far that ive really noticed it on. Its like the williams Montoya used to race. Heres a nose comparison

Regarding KERS, Briatore says that it is a terrible mistake. Several teams were wanting it to be scrapped altogether but BMW disagreed, so it stayed.

True enough, more difference than expect really.

Regarding KERS, there are several ways in which that can be viewed... Personally, from a spectator point of view, I love the idea. Not because I give a rat's bottom about environmental aspects, but because it's a hard change for the teams to contend with and that might very well stir up the power balance between the teams a good bit. It also goes in the direction of enhancing overtaking, which the sport sorely needs.

Look out for Red Bull this year!

New car looks amazing, and was fastest of the new cars in testing (not that that goes for much). It Also has some unique designs ie. pullrod rear suspension. I hope they do well!

From a British point of view, I am disappointed with the start of the 2009 line-up as we only have Lewis Hamilton compared to the start of 2008 when we had Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, David Coulthard and Anthony Davidson.

But could be a good year, last two years, the winner of the championship has only won it by 1 point, more of the same please.

Less controversial FIA decisions though

No argument there - FIA came darn close to ruining the entire 2008 season by ridiculous steward rulings. No more of that nonsense please - including retro-active rule amendments like the chicane episode.

Looking forward to it for sure, this season is going to be a blast

The only thing that could spoil this season would be if one team turns out to have adapted to the new regulations a lot better than the others - but nothing fortunately indicates that yet.

Honda seem to be showing good pace in the first test with all teams present. They finished 3rd fastest. Good for them!

Mclaren (Still too early to really tell) seem to be struggling for pace slightly. Slowest yesterday and second slowest today. They just dont seem as comfortable with the new car as the likes of Ferrari.
