... Some people..

and wasn't the option called formula 1 specifically? If so, it is completely irrelevant.

Mind you John, the old Suzuka circuit was ditched for Fuji.

Canada was dropped for Abu Dhabi.
Mike...i think the drivers would prefer to be in a colder environment than a hot one. Have you ever seen pre race preparations for Istanbul or Bahrain??

Have you ever seen them after one of those races??

Poor beggers.........(or perhaps not, for the millions they get paid!)

Haha.

yeh, sweating like crazy.
I also heard somewhere that the drivers pee in their suits if they need to go.

So the driver is sitting in Pee and sweat, at about 40 degrees.

Keith Floyd would be proud of that recipe...

HAHA!

Well done Lewis, that's one part of the weekend job out the way! Lets hope F1 and Ferrari don't think of another way to make him lose..........

Still not happy about Canada!!

I seriously couldn't get up to watch the qualifying!

Unlucky for Massa to be pipped down to 5th.
If Lewis wins today, tomorrow...i reckon he's got the title. Basically, we need a miracle if Massa is to win the Championship.

Well Hamiton doing the complete opposite to what he was going to do. Not a very "cautious" race from him.

A crazy interview from him at the end of the race. Firstly saying that he and Massa both recieved penalties but he didnt hit anybody. And secondly saying that he is going to the last two races to "win", not be cautious. As for the first corner incident where "he didnt hit anybody" this was completely due to the skill and reactions of the other drivers rather than his mistake. If i was raikonnen at the start, and saw him coming, i would have turned for the first corner and taken him out

Just look how close he came to taking out his team mate at the start.

Another unlucky race for kovalainen, what could have been!
Massa was a bit overly eager at the start but recovered well.
Kubica a thoroughly deserved second place, especially after the pressure from raikkonen near the end.

And another great race from Alonso, brilliant consistency. So now i am going to float around for the rest of the day after 50 mins sleep

Well done Alonso, great race.

Don't know what Hamilton is thinking - silly boy. However Massa is the sillier of the two, two very silly incidents from him and he might suffer more with a stewards enquiry pending, although I don't feel he should or will as nothing came of the incident with Bourdais.

At least the end of the season isn't going to be boring!!

Hamilton would have been at the back anyway, he locked up at the 1st turn making the tyres like squares, meaning he would've had to pit or either enjoy watching his suspension shatter everywhere.

The Massa/Hamilton incident was a bit even in my view. Massa had every right to use the kerb into the next turn, granted, Hamilton may not have seen him but a good call from the stewards.

It's nowhere near that black and white, but of course it is undesirable to get flat spots. Then again, on fairly cold tires, like the entire field has into turn 1, you accumulate way less flatspotting from locking up than you do later in the race at full tyre temperature.

Anyways, regardless of the technicalities and your incredible bias in these discussions, he did mess up, being entirely too aggressive, and most definitely deserved the penalty.

Then again so did Massa.

How Massa got away clean from the Bourdais incident is beyond me tho - if any of those drivers were to fault for that scenario, it was Massa and not Bourdais.

You do not have any right of way when re-entering the circuit after being off. You DO however have the right not to hit other cars while doing so

LMAO!!!! ^^^^^^ Timing is everything!

And very right on the Bourdais incident.

Wouldn't it be funny if Kubica won the title, due to squabbling from Ferrari and Mclaren!

Well it is near that black and white actually, say light grey and dark grey! When hamilton had his tyres changes on lap 2, they were worn to the canvas it was reported.

After all the help FIA keeps giving Ferrari, I'd much rather have Kubica win than either of the reds for sure. Then again irrelevant since Hamilton will grab it this time.

Another very interesting aspect is Renault for next season. Seems Piquet finally is showing at least a hint of skills as well.

Nothing would be better than having as much as 4 teams consistently winning races.

Piquet will never be as good as his dad!

Hamilton might end up with a bit of bad luck, i was reminded that Hamilton had a 17 point lead with 2 races to go in the championship, only for Raikkonen to steal it from under him and Alonso.

This is what racing is about, controversy, excitement and action!

I agree on the excitement and action part. I don't like the controversy tho, particularly not the part of it that's caused by FIA's self-protective stupidity and arrogance.
