He wouldn't be fit to tie O' Driscoll's bootlaces

Quinlan and O'Connel might be in a spot of bother for gouging. Might be out of the Lions tour, silly silly men. I'll stick my kneck out and say Quinlan will be missing it, not so sure on O'Connel but it was clear enough.
Hopefully Jones to get the call up, but I think it will be Croft.
Great stuff for Leinster ! The Blues and Leicester must all of a sudden feel a bit more confident.

Yeah was silly form Quinlan, typical of him though, he's that sort of player! He tried to apologize afterwards to Cullen, but he should face some sort of disciplinary action. Leinster were absolutely immense today, completely outplayed Munster who never looked like scoring, I just hope Fitzgerald will be alright for the final and the Lions.

Here is a clear pic of O'connel being an absolute muppet! We all saw Quinlan I'm sure. They are off the tour, well should be.

An incident in the biggest club rugby game of most of these players lives between two of the fiercest rivals in world rugby should not have any bearing on whether they tour with the Lions or not, these things happen EVERY time these two meet, without fail or exception. Having said that, I still wouldn't mind seeing Quinlan being left at home, if O' Connell is, the Lions have no chance, if they ever did!

Are you being serious? Eye Gouging has no place in professional rugby, and this is not tolerated at all. If the citing commisioners leave this be because it is "a rivalry" it would be a comeplete joke to the sytem. What you just said is ridiculous and should never be the case. Have you ever had your eyes gouged? These players are pro's and should not be allowed to get away with this, no matter what the occassion.

I've seen instances far worse than this in previous games between these two, as well as games during the 6 Nations. Obviously eye gouging has no place in rugby, has no place anywhere. If you look at both instances, particularly the O' Connell one, there's no way that could be classed as eye gouging
"Eye-gouging is the act of pressing or tearing the eye using the fingers, other bodyparts, or instruments"
I saw no "tearing" of the eye by O' Connell, he's not that sort of player. Quinlan's was more conspicuous, but like I said, in the heat of the moment, these things can happen unintentionally, and with a rush of blood, but there's far worse incidents in games previous than these that go unnoticed.
Anyway, I'm not gonna get into an argument over something that hasn't even been mentioned since the game, and instead will bask in Leinster's glory

This is all that is being talked about !
I must say, the O'connel incident is touch and go, but Quinlan, what and idiot ! It was a terrible example of eye Gouging, one of the worst I have ever seen. It was clearly intentional and if he is not punished for that, what kind of message does it sound out? An awful one, imo.
It is horrific, speaking from experience. I had to have an eye patched up for a couple of days due to having my eyes gouged. It is shocking and something I really hate, you can't even defend yourself from it, which just makes it even worse !
Again well done Leinster, but this will no doubt take up a fair chunk of the backpage in the papers, like it seems to be at the moment. But it was fantastic from Leinster, I thought, especially D'Arcy.

Agreed, Quinlan's was just silly for doing it, I don't understand why he had his hand near his face, but again Cullen seemed alright about it after the game, so you just don't know. O' Connell did nothing wrong, I bet you could find numerous images of players where their hand comes across the oppositions face, happens all the time innocuously.
I haven't read about it or heard about it anywhere, aside from forums, where people are always gonna talk about these things. All the talk where I am is about Leinster's brilliance today, and their outstanding chance of being European champions. Nobody cares for these instances, they are minor in our eyes. Can't wait for the final now, Cardiff and Leicester will be very much up against it come final day!
Yeah, D' Arcy was excellent, particularly in defence, but that typifies him and O' Driscoll as a partnership, they're outstanding in every department together. Rumours also that Earls may have been involved in a gouging incident too, I think there must have been an individual camera on each Lions player waiting for them to do something wrong . I'd love nothing more than for Earls not to go and D' Arcy to

Haha, I think you are right about the individual cameras for Lions players
I think it is a joke that D'Arcy has not toured, I would have had him in my team ahead of any other inside centre and definitely Earls as an outside.
All we can do is wait for the citing comissioner, but it is not good for these players, they are excellent players for them to make an example of and show how they will not tolerate this, no matter who you are.
Looking at the O'connel incident in film, he pushed Horgans face I think, just the picture has got a mug shot on his fingers in the eyes.

Got my ticket for the Blues game now. BT stand, 5 rows from the pitch!!!
Watch out for a c0ck-eyed man dressed in a black Beyonce styled leatard with half a tiger painted to his face.
Be my first time at the MIllenium Stadium. Wasn't the first of the international stadiums I wanted to see, always fancied Croake Park, but I'm still looking forward to it non-the-less.

I'll be next to him, the good looking one with his tigers shirt on being a good boy.....

Being in Cardiff, at that game, was one of the best experiences of my life.
The fans we sat near were all great. The players done themselves proud.
That game has to be the best I've ever seen, EVER!
Won't be able to make the final - no money. BUt I doubt it would live up to that anyway!
I now need to learn that Welsh song they sing.......

Would it have been the best game had Leicester lost John, blew a 14 point lead late on after all.

Yeah. Even if we'd lost. By far the best game I've ever been to.
I would just like to note that the Blues fans behind the posts during the kicks were very un-sporting, so to them HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
However for the family in front of me, who I enjoyed a good chin wag with, unlucky - wonderful people! We were almost crying at the end lol.

As for Fitzgerald, John, he is there on merit, for playing superbly for Province and country, it's ridiculous to question his inclusion in the squad.
Indeed you are right and I'm wrong.
The last three times I've watched him he's been outstanding!

Shanklin out of the tour
D'arcy or Hook will get the call up I think. Possibly Hook beause he covers 10,12,13,15 but I was very impressed with D'arcy against Munster, we will find out soon.

Big shame about Shanklin. I think he'll be a great loss!

Quinlin is out of the Lions tour - unless he appeals, however I doubt his ban will be turned-over.
Everyone seems to be screaming for Croft - I just don't think he'll go though, don't think it's what they're looking for. Silly really, as he's in outstanding form!
