Massive day in front of us, all the best John! I just hope no Lions players get injured, and Leinster hammer Leicester

Hope Leinster win after that fantastic performance against Munster. Also, Leicester have won it before, and I always support the Magners League teams

On a side note, Ross Ford got the call up yesterday to replace Flannery and James Hook got a call up today. Great stuff.

A good performance is needed from us today. Leinster are possibly ther toughest defense we've come across this year!

Win or lose am proud of the team, alot has gone against us this season and we didn't think we'd be here.

I'm hoping it's just as good as the two semi-final matches.

Good luck to both.

On the Lions front - still nor replacement for Quinlin? Why not just call Croft up? He's the best player on any field at the moment in my un-biased opinion!

Good luck to you too Niall!

Well done Northampton, who after only being promoted this season won the other European cup. Good stuff from them!

Croft got the call the other day when Quinlans appeal failed.

The itensity of the final today might open the door for a few other on standby. I hope it is not an anti-climax due to everyone being worried about injury, these two teams should be prepared to die for the cause today.

Will be an absolutely awesome match today.....

As an Ulsterman I want to see Leinster win to prove that the Irish are beginning to dominate Northern Hemisphere rugby but with Leicesters experience it will deffo be intriguing...

Good Luck Leinster

Just for those who follow rugby 7s. England won the England 7s. Off to Scotland next, hoping for a memorable double - keep us in the hunt!

Lions played awful, some silly choices made!!!

Anyone see Byrne's try? I think he is perhaps the only reason we won that match. Awsome kicking performace.

Anyone wanna say bad stuff about Flutey now?

Yea, does he know how to pass a rugby ball? Cause he sure seems a guttsy so and so.
Nahh, he did ok, better than most, but that really aint saying much.
Byrne was quality, he actually carried the Lions to victory. Sheridan and Blair were absolutely woeful and arguably played themselves out of the test side.

Other than Bowe, Roberts and Byrne, I would say the others have a lot of work to do as they looked a long way off it.

Without O' Driscoll in the starting line up, this Lions team is below average, and I don't care what you argue against that, it's simply true. Once B'OD is in there, the Lions will have a reasonable chance of beating South Africa.

Ridiculous statement.

Rugby is a team game, and O'Driscoll has not even played a game for the Lions yet. The conditions are completely different, it will take a fair bit of adapting and a small matter is there are 15 players on each side, O'driscoll cannot take them all on by himself, even if on top form. and he is playing in a new team, new combinations and tactics, etc etc....The list to argue against is endless, so in my opinion it's crazy talk if you actually believe that, though half of me thinks you aint being serious

LOLOL I just knew you would call it a ridiculous statement, when it is far from it! I'll put it a little bit simpler for you - without O' Driscoll, the Lions wouldn't stand a chance, with O' Driscoll, they are in with a shout. I would say the exact same for Ireland - without O' Driscoll, we wouldn't win a Grand Slam, with him, we did

I actually think there's 3/4 other people more important than O'Driscoll. The captain and Byrne being the two most important.

To beat SA we need a tough defence with a flawless kicker from deep - play for territory and let the backs do the damage from it. No point having O'Driscoll on the pitch if the forwards don't show up!!

I personally think Fluety is just as important....
LMAOOOOOO @ me!

Seriously though, Kris. I knew you'd say something about him not making that pass, but every time Fluety got the ball he was stepping and making breaks. This Lions back-line is perhaps the best we've had in an awful long time, within 3 games I expect them to firing on full cylinders and running in tries left right and centre.

This will only happen if the forwards perform though! (Which I know is the most obvious statement anyone can make, but you know what I mean...)

Flutey did look good, but there is only so much you can take from the impact he had. The big one being a South African, third tierd team were probably out on their feet and another being the Lions were cack. But, as we all know to well, you can only play what's infront of you. He done better than most that's for sure.

Best bet is to forget about that game, it was a dead atmosphere, a dead performance from the Lions, and not much can be taken from it to be fair, except Earls is a long way out of his depth and Blair should not have been called up ahead of Peel or Cusiter. Those two need to play on Wednesday, get back on the horse and put a performance in, otherwise their tour is close to over after a few days ! I expect only Blair, Earls and Wallace to make Wednesdays 22 from yesterdays 15.

Wednesday, 61 thousand people, a super 14 team called the Lions vs the Lions, massive game and I can't wait

I wish I had skysports.

Instead I have to watch it on some dodgy streaming website that's blocky and cuts out at times.

To be fair, you'd have to expect the Lions to play that way. First game together at the end of a very long season for a majority of the team - the depth of the Lions is going to be tested, subs will win games!

England lost to the Baa-baas, which isn't a great shock looking at the Baa-baas team. The irony being a certain English full-back who's usually notoriously rubbish scoring two tries lmao!

Glad Corry got a winning send-off. Him and Lewsy are retired now, both great advocates to the game of Rugby.

Wasn't as strong team, plus the idiot Wayne Barnes was in charge.... I love how when it's SA or a South African team it's called being aggressive at the break-down, anyone else it's coming in at the sides and playing the ball on the floor!

England beat Argentina, quite easily with a weak team...

Anyone see the Cueto/Armitige try?? Think they'd been watching Lee Byrne and though we'll do better....
