The way I see it, the appointment of cool_dude was only a matter of time anyway. Martin_blank has always seemed a laid back sensible person to me, so I agree with him being picked. And as for magicblack, I don't really know that much about him, but nick is normally right in his choices (apart from raiden).

Actually a lot of earlier mods were not my choice as I've only been working on this full time for about a year and relied on opinions of other users. At that time a lot of mod recruitments were badly handled (my fault - I couldn't give it the time it deserved).

I have high confidence in all 3 recruited mods. Personal conflicts happen on every chat / forum website, but all mods are capable of acting impartially - if you believe differently you can use the contact us. To the best of my memory, we've never received a message detailing a particular mod has problems with a particular user.

The only real complaints we get are that they were booted harshly (eg for swearing one time) or incorrectly for cheating.

squeezy, when we reduced the moderating team we informed every affected person by email. In some other cases we had to take moderators of immediately for security concerns.

In my opinion in this the moderators were correctly chosen, yes yes i know i havn't been around but all 3 of them have proved themselves and have been given a chance, instead of just argueing about them, why not just give them the support they need to help the site move on to the next level. i'll stop rambling on now but u see my point

Nick not wanting to be offensive but your talking out of your rectom. I have contacted you 4 times now about things and i still havent had one reply. I have just contacted you again telling you of my disgust, lets see what happens. The reason i say this is to back up squeezy's argument. You always come out with the same old crap like 'ohhh we contacted you i dont understand it' but its rubbish.
As for martin being made a mod its a brilliant choice, he has strong opinions and i hope this doesnt change that. It seems though that it is already, when i was reading a post on this thread he said something like 'if you have a problem use the proper channels such as contact us'. Yea martin like you would have said that before you were a mod. Dont lose your spine to Nick like most of the mods have and still state your opinions, never mind all that contact us crap.
Magic is too impartial to be a mod , nice guy but sits on the fence too much and is too passive. Assertive people needed!

If you review every three month then i should have got another "reply" seeing as 3 more mods are now in place and i re-applied. You simply didnt reply, fact. Nothing at all wrong with my settings.

Yep they are females.... and great mods they are too

The guy is here to help make the site a better place, in his own free time may i add, but some people seem to be putting the boot in before he's even had a chance to get started in his role.

He doesn't deserve a chance after the way i've seen him act in the past, but it's ok because you haven't seen it?!?!

Many other people want to help the site too but you choose him?!

EDIT: i've never had a problem with any other promotions in the past because there all decent people who haven't done anything wrong!

I would use the contact us but i never get a reply from it, i've sent around 8 emails and got 2 replies!

I personally think that Martin_Blank isn't such a wise choice for a mod as many people dont seem 2 like him includin myself, i have on several occasions heard him abusing people in the past.

Yes he may have changed now but still doesnt seem to make it fair on all of the other people on the site.

i spoke to him earlier and he seems a really nice guy. everyone says he has been abusive in the past but y judge him by the past when there is a very gd chance tht he has changed like i sed i spoke to him and he seems a nice person

He is going to be nice now that he is a mod isn't he... Most moderators improve their behaviour after being made mod, not necessarily a bad thing!

I'm not sure if you're not confused about which member it is, no moderator we have has had any complaints against - if someone was as offensive as you say why didn't you use "send complaint"?

Regarding contact us we've replied to every one requiring a reply in the last 12 months. People not getting responses need to check their spam folder, and that their email address is still valid. The only ones not replied to were some error reports (VM crashes) and suggestions sent a while ago.

Moderating applications come under a different category; you will receive a maximum of 1 response every 3 months. I will update the moderating application page to clarify this for next release.

Im not confused about what member it is but i always put people like him on ignore like you tell everyone to do, he threw a lot at me so i put him on ignore!

Guess who mate calm down a little, i think it was fair to say when i was first made mod i wasnt a obvious choice by no means and it came lucky to me that i got it, since ive been given a chance ive done my best when i could for the site and helped out when needed, people change when given a privilage.

I only really no mark of the 3 new mods, and i no hes a good lad and will do a good job... with the other 2 guys, ok i dont no them much, but i wasnt exactly known either when i was made a mod, it seems like their is too many sour grapes on this site... just calm down and give them a chance!!! I dont no them as much as many other people...

I dont no what people make of me now.... but i no many people on this site and i myself think i have a good relationship with most people.... whereas when i was made mod i only really knew afey and noone had heard of me except for real life mates, and before anyone says owt i made friends with him when he was a normal member not cause he was a mod or admin

You just have to give people a chance! and not jump to conclusions, i am normally a nightmare on most sites and i am one to admit i can cause a bit of trouble, like some of you think these guys have done. Remember they are also only on a trial basis... so it isnt permanent yet, nick will decide if they have done a good job and if they are successful after 2 weeks then i also believe they are the right choice.
