Lol, nice examples guess_who, but they were JUST fun - not insulting, and the newbie one was a spoof.
You are still allowed to have fun when moderating, as far as I understand.

I really haven't hurled abuse around guess_who, and I always thought we got on fine. I've always stuck up for myself on the forums, true, and when ppl have been rude or obnoxious, I've let them know how I feel. I've always been sporting and always polite to those who are polite to me.

Maybe I've been picked for quantity rather than quality, lol, because, as I work from home, I'm on here a lot during the day.

All I can say is that I aim to be fair, help out where I can and be available as much as possible when needed. And I don't intend to stop enjoying myself either...eh, that's it.

Whenever i've played martin_blank he's shown good sportsmanship and hasn't been abusive to me in the slightest.

Nick, I have never admitted to doing anything wrong as a moderator as I don't remember doing anything wrong, I wasn't informed prior to my demotion and had to do quite a lot of questioning to get some reasons and am still not completely sure as to why I was demoted, other moderaters I believe where not informed fully of the situation before their demotion but where informed soon after. However, I am more than happy to be corrected on this.

I'm not complaining about the current moderating team and do not wish to be placed back into it as I don't believe I am suitable for the position anymore and feel the current team does a good job.

I feel i must say something here.

Martin and I have been involved in some VERY heated debate through over the past few months, and i can honestly never recall him being in any way nasty or abusive.

And believe me, with my beliefs, assumtions, and lack of patience, he is one of very few! (I think Phillippe will support me on that one!)

I think martin is an excellent choice, and despite our at times extreme dissagreements he is one person i would trust to be fair and impartial in his role...

(and the fact he has a mature sense of humour, unlike some people who could be mentioned, is only a plus in my book!)

Guess, its coming across to me that you're just sore.
You know, i would have liked a reply...im not remotely bothered about the answer...as i dont even play anymore, but i'd have liked to be told im 'not suitable'.

The guy is here to help make the site a better place, in his own free time may i add, but some people seem to be putting the boot in before he's even had a chance to get started in his role.

I'm sure he will take this on the chin, but at the same time i don't really think the forum is the correct place to stage a kangaroo court, especially when some of the participants have pulled up members in the past for doing exactly the same thing! (Mentioning no names)

However none of these guys are on early in the morning when the abuse seems to be the highest.Two from the UK and one from Ireland.Here on the other side of the world we play against the night shifters and the insomniacs and need some assistance.

Still think one of the Australians would be a good choice and show this is not just a UK site.You can be a great mod but you need to be online.

martin_blank - have not had much to do with him, but I am quite new to the forum and some of things I have seen him say in the past have been quite opinionated but there is a right way and a wrong way to do that, and in my opinion he's always done it the right way.
