I got told today that i couldnt be a 'mod' because people are 'better suited' I mean, i've helped out the mods numerous times, and i've even told many people to stop breaking the rules before getting a mod to sort them out. What have i done to not become a mod?

I think using the "contact us" might be a better approach for this. Out of thousands of users, yes, there are many that are suitable to become moderators, however not all can be "promoted" Im afraid you will just have to apply next time and see what happens, but dont make threads like this out of disappointment.

Don't worry mate i got the same replie, just put yourself up for it again if you badly want to be a mod!

I apologise then. I didnt mean for it to be seen as a post out of disappointment, i was just wondering why.

3 out of 81 applicants got chosen for a trial period.... basically the users who are chosen are the top in the opinions of the entire funkypool team.

funkypool couldn't exist without the help from moderators and the constructive helpful people wishing to help to make the site better. So thanks for applying, your positive actions are very much appreciated.

as far as i can tell the new mod is martin_blank , hope ya picked the right guy moderating team , dnt need anuva clear out of mods agen on ere :P

If there is a clear out, make sure you tell the people being demoted, you forgot to mention it to some last time round

An then you get ex-moderaters asking why it happened and whats going to happen next and it must become very annoying

Still awaiting a response regarding moderating from about 3 or 4 months ago, nice to see people are getting responses now though.

We informed every moderator when we demoted inactive mods. Every mod was able to re-apply for their position if they come back, only 1 did, and he was given a mod position again.

2 mods were demoted about the same time for other reasons, and had to be taken off quickly. Both have since admitted they acted incorrectly while being a mod.
